well.. lots of cannons where otherstuff was.. a small mining ship hanger with a refinery where the bombbay was, i have heavily customized and used to wreck many tougher MES encounters.

finding purpose built atmo combat ships is surprisingly hard.

I love the design of this ship. I am in the process of making a youtube video that demonstrates how to avoid the 'flying brick' effect that many beginning players suffer from. This ship is a perfect example of how to decorate the exterior of a ship to make it visually interesting and break up the otherwise flat, boring areas.

May I have your blessing to use the ship as an example? I will include a link to this on the Workshop and give you full credit and much praise, of course.

Ok I figured it out. This is probably a no-brainer for most people but I'll write it down for those like me, who haven't fidelled with workshop ships before, like myself:

To get this to work you'll have to enable experimental mode and tick the "Enable in-game scripts" box in the world settings. Then it works perfectly.

Hey i can't for the life of me get this thing to drop the bombs.. Everything works fine, bomb doors are opened munitions selectet, but when i press salvo nothing happens. Am I missing something or did an update break something?

@krazywulf1983 - If you are playing in survival, they will need to be manually loaded. It's annoying, but on the plus side, they can hold loads of ammo and it lasts for ages.

so i noticed that the interior turrets are not conencted to convayors do they need to be to auto reload? or do i need to manual reload them

@5URG3 I loaded it in a new game, and everything worked fine. I had some mods on before that conflicted. Not sure which ones though. Great ship!

@Vurtok - In the munitions control room, press the 1st button on the left hand side to activate. Then press Button 2-4 to select munition type. The fifth button from left to right, the one to the right of the flight seat, starts the fabrication process. The welders should switch on for a brief period and then switch off, you can see them through the window.

Are you in creative or survival? I just tested it in creative and it seems to be working fine for me. I also checked the munition welders were conveyed and they are, so it should be good for survival too. I'm not sure what is causing the problem.

OK I can't get the munition fabrication system to work. I have materials, power, ownership, projectors on, everything seems in order, but when I press the start button, I hear a brief weld sound and nothing happens. When I go into the bay, the welders are off. Can you spell out how to use it?

This ship is super cool. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but the MMR won't fabricate munitions in creative mode. The projections come up per munition, but when I activate fabrication the welders turn red and do nothing.

I just realized it was because your ship doesnt have anything in it at all and i was testing in survival so it couldnt shoot me and also didnt have any fuel for the 38 reactors. Bruh moment. went into creative and it thrashed me...

@Sandst4rm - Links or it didn't happen. :D If you have CQB mode on, those thrusters don't die so easy. Also the hydro alone will float the ship. Then there's the fixed rocket launchers and the ECM for retaliation. Link me your destroyer, I'd like to test it, because this ship wrecked all the atmospheric/multi environment ships I tested it on, and I never bothered using the missiles.

TBH, the fancy tech is mostly there to be fancy, it is targeted early and is fragile AF, the SV variant is the real fighter. :D

It's nice and all, alot of fancy technology... but when i throw it against my destroyer of the same size it just gets whacked, even with the guided missiles, mostly because of the fact it targets the atmospheric thrusters and just makes it crash. i think if they had more armour i would probably get fully thrashed by this ship. 8.7/10 gg

@boomdude67 - I hope to replace some of the older designs with new craft in the future. I'm unlikely to update any as most of them look ugly as hell these days. There will probably be some new atmospheric stuff.

@clevercole98 - As Starbound said, I don't really do modified versions. You guys do the refits, I do the originals :D

@The Scarecrow - Ok, Did you paste this in Creative? Do you have Experimental Mode on? The MMR and custom turrets require scripts, which only work if Experimental Mode is on. If that doesn't fix it, let me know.

5URG3 doesn't do modded stuff, but if you gave appropriate credit you might be able to do both of those things yourself.

You should make a Space only variant of it. Bombing is still possible, Just in the gravity field, then drop bombs and escape the gravity field. 0.01 G planetary gravity would work well.

Your video was so awesome, I would love to watch the part of it combating for fun again, I will do so, as I have the ship wielded together by some modded items. Also, can you make a modded variation of the ship using the LWTS mod? I would like a variation of that. That would be amazing.

@Anonymous - The Missile designator is what give the missiles their vector. I've not tried to use the AI targeting, but I don't think it would work like I'd hope.

@General K Wars - Use the Programming Block. I don't script myself, I just use the array of awesome scripts the community has created.

@Titan - Cheers man. Good to see you are still about! It's not a camera feed, it's Whip's Artifical Horizon with custom colours to make it look like Mars. I guess it's working!

@Spaceman Spiff - Haha, I wondered if someone would realise. No, I thought about adding them, but the handling would have been dreadful and the ship would have been a terrible warship for space, which is kinda against the principles of this specialised vessel.

You know, I didn't have any problem getting this sucker to space. The only catch is that you didn't include backward-facing hydrogen thrusters; add those and this ship becomes interplanetary.

For some reason the blueprint has the power switched off, so if you try spawning this in creative even just to look at it, it falls out of the sky...even though it's supposed to be specifically for in atmosphere

@Kam Solastor - No, but you could make your own BPs in creative. TBH, the Sidewinder SV is a better choice for Survival, rotor turrets are fragile and awkward in my experience. See description for details.
