Go to the console, and type "sv_cheats 1" and hit enter
Then type "buddha" and hit enter.
That should help work around the bug.
Not impossible, but very annoying when you have no health.
Two, Not my fault you have nothing better to do in your failing life. If you don't think it's a mod, go and make one. I'll wait. I expect a link.
I might also have to check again to make sure the game didn't change how damage works, AGAIN.
another thing you could do is verify the the cache files then reinstall the mod. If you do this, note: the Skill.cfg will be replaced with the default settings, so you have to put it back in again.
If it's something else, a good way to check if the mod is working is to set the game to hard then shoot a headcrab with a glock, if it kills it on the first shot: it works
But I was not going for pure realistic but more Freeman's Mind realistic. I looked at the footage and tried to figure the best number in the code that would match. and THEN I'd tried to balance it as best I could. I think there's some tweaking I could do to balance it out better, but I don't know where.
Also, nothing I can do about the sliding thing. It's because Black Mesa adds the 'slide' effect during Xen. It basicily takes all friction and divides it by some number I don't know. Now damage counts as a force, so when you get shot the game tries to push you a little bit; HOWEVER, since the friction is divided: it makes the force pushing you back MUCH MUCH higher than the game should even allow. WHY? because it calculates the force by how much damage the bullet does. In the end, I can't do anything unless somebody finds the code and edits it.
I'm not sure I'd call 9mm being equivalent to 7.62 NATO "realistic" But if you're looking for much, much lower TTK this should do it for you. The getting shot while crouched thing sliding you backward is a bit annoying, but it's by no means the end of the world.
So has long has you're standing, it won't really effect you that much. It's a bit stupid but again, I can't really do anything.
I think it's a bit of weird way to do it, I'd think have a set knock-back for each weapon so 9mm does amost nothing while a tau shot could make you go flying if hit in mid air. But it's Crowbar Collectives game, so I can't really do anything.
Seriously, I tried to look for the script and see if I could change it: Nope, locked out of modder's sight.
I would say start with medium (or as they now call it: Black mesa), so you can get used to it. As about 3 shots from a 9mm gun could kill you. It basicly makes it more equal for damage player does 1.0 damage enemies deliver 1.0 damage like in regular half life.
I hope somebody can do that.
where you teleport lambda complex to uplink & in the end comeback there
