To Clarify: When trying to purchase the camping skill "Shanty Serenade" its icon appears BELOW the "Wound Care" Skill- allowing me to only buy 1 of them.
I went into the files myself to mess around to see if I could figure it out- I couldn't.
But I was able to make a work around in order to fix it (Its still an issue but I was able to purchase the camping skill).
My work around was just deleting every single camping skill from the file / going in game and buying it / backing out of the game and undoing the changes I made.
Again not sure if its a game issue or an issue with the mod at all. (If someone knows otherwise please let me know!)
Ration of grog heals less health and stress then both inspiring tune and divine gracr
It's just that Ration of Grog ability looks a bit OP to me. It heals like vestal's Divine Grace and relief stress almost like Jester's Inspiring Tune.
Otherwise great mod
I think an interesting change would be if the shanty serenade was less effective for religious characters. Maybe some of the other abilities, too, making the camping skills similar to the vestal who thrives with religious characters in the party.
It would make sense thematically since I doubt religious characters would approve much of all the drinking, shouting and cursing during camp. It would tell part of the character's story through his skills which has always been a strong suite of the original DD.

Update 1.2
==============================
You feedback has been heard and taken into consideration.
Drunken Shanty Nerf:
-Removed Crit Bonus
-Lowered Buff Amounts
-Lowered Healing and Stress Healing
-Lowered Stress Healing Chance
-Added a 75% Chance Speed Debuff
Fixed an Issue that was causing the Privateer's Speed to be reduced to 0 when upgrading to his level 2 weapon.
On balance have you actually looked at the numbers or just the ability summary? Because the team crit bonus is absolutely tiny.
Also, this last might be a personal nitpick of mine, but maybe a buccaneer and not a privateer? More suited to the art and more pirate-y.
@Branch, what info are you looking for about localization?
I do not run the Pets or Sunward Isle mods, so I am not at liberty to make those kind of trinkets. I am open to the idea if the creators of the mods contact me. Be assured that if future content is planned, I will let you all know.
Captain's Private Stock Trinket Rework:
No longer buffs healing or stress healing, but now adds the following effects to all friendly skills (3 round duration)
+2 Dodge, +5% Stun, Bleed, Blight, and Disease Resistance.
Aged Rum:
Added a -10% DMG debuff to the trinket.
Drunken Shanty:
Stress Heal reduced by 1 across all levels.
Ration of Grog:
Added a -1 Speed Debuff to the ability.
Thanks again and I look forward to more feedback on the Privateer! Please continue to let me know what you think.
Trinket balancing is a tricky thing, to be sure. Aged Rum is under consideration for a rework to change effects away from being healing oriented to something else entirely.
Privateer's License and Captain's orders are specifically meant to maximize the Privateer's possibility as a damage frontline. Yes he only has 3 abilities available to him at that rank, but they are his damage abilities. Its a limiting factor, which i believe works as a good balance mechanism, as he is meant to be a jack of all trades, master of none. All of his strengths comes with weakening other areas of his kit.
On first glance the trinkets do seem rather unbalanced to me though.
Almost all of them focus on his healing and stress healing done, creating a lot of redundancies.
A few more trinkets that focus on other aspects of his kit instead would be very welcome.
Privateer's License seems odd and inconsistent to me as well. It confines the Privateer to the first Rank, however he only has 3/2 Abilities he can use in that position.
Being in position 1, he can't use his Heals/Stress Heals anyway, making the reduced (stress)healing on the Item rather pointless as a downside too.
Just about to give him a run out in my new campaign. Just by looking at his skills, I'd say a couple of things..
'Belay!' - Could do with a +10% stun increase. 70% is still low enough as an off-set to the high ACC and strong back-line debuff. What is also to be remembered is although back-line skills are invaluable at times, it also becomes less effective (usually) the more enemies you kill and/or amount to begin with.
'Ration of Grog' - This seems a little too strong, but only a little. Could do with something thematic like a small SPD debuff (1/1/1/2/2).
All in all though, he looks solid! :D
Do what you want cause a pirate is free, you are a pirate!
If you're having trouble finding his role in your games, I suggest thinking about him in terms of rank. If you need a support character, kit him out for mid rank play with Drunken Shanty, Dissonant Chord, Ration of Grog, and Belay. If you would like him to do more damage, but him in rank 1or2 and use Black Powder Pistol, Avast!, ...and A Bottle of Rum, and Dissonant Chord.
Remember, you can change out selected abilities between battles in the dungeon, so if you find you need him to switch roles, its as easy as reselecting abilities and moving his rank.
