The mod is GOATed but I wish you also retextured the FIA gear that uses the same green digital camo as the AAF

I cannot play Arma 3 without this mod, simple but effective

Is the Vehicle Camo usable on other Vics in the game? Like making the normal AAF Camo for woodland and your Desert Camo making it optional to switch between the two?
TerrorTaylor21 18 Nov, 2022 @ 10:30am
honestly the best fix for the AAF ever

@76561198142573115 jesus man, entitled much?

@Anthrax I just thought that some of the 1,236,800 CUP Vehicles followers could also use your mod and that it would be pretty easy to create a new desert class instead of replacements. But if the project is already finished, I disappear into the sunset. Thank you for your hard work!
Anthrax  [author] 14 Jul, 2022 @ 5:11am
I am not at all responsible for figuring out what mods are compatible with what. My description clearly states "You may get unexpected results".

I intended my mod to be dealt with in a standalone configuration and it was also a technical attempt at replacement configs which i had not done before. This project finished a long time ago. You are welcome to take the textures as per the APL-SA licence and make your own configs establishing the mod YOU desire.
_mickey_ 14 Jul, 2022 @ 5:04am
@Anthrax CUP Vehicles has added many new vehicles that will remain green against the background of vanilla sand textures. There will be a Discrepancy here. If you had made an addition instead of a replacement, it would have solved the problem. But I'm not arguing, if you don't want to, don't. Just write in the description about incompatibility with CUP mod
_mickey_ 14 Jul, 2022 @ 4:58am
@Anthrax, No, it doesn't work that way. Toda yit turns out like this the goal the your mod the replacement vanilla content + killing the CUP vehicles mod (AAF part). For comparison, look at how many people are subscribed to your mod and how many people are subscribed to the CUP Vehicles mod and then draw conclusions. You have a wonderful retexture mod, yes but 1,236,800 followers of CUP Vehicles mod will not be able to use CUP without problems. They will get not relevant textures for AAF Vehicles.
Anthrax  [author] 14 Jul, 2022 @ 4:07am
@Mickey please read the paragraph, the intent behind the mod was that it was always going to be a replacement config mod. Cross mod compatibility was not the design intent.
_mickey_ 13 Jul, 2022 @ 9:36am
@Anthrax thanks for your work but your mod should not replace the vanilla textures This should be a separate type of camouflage. Vanilla is "Woodland" and your mod is "Desert". Otherwise your mod break CUPs Vehicles as they added a lot of new vehicles for AAF in vanilla texture colour.

this fucking camo is actually so effective i had a guy that was literally infront of me and i couldnt see him
Anthrax  [author] 27 Dec, 2021 @ 1:32am
Please refer to my earlier comment on either page 1 or 2 regarding this project. I'm rather limited with time nowadays and would rather develop stuff that won't feel like a chore to do.
Burns 26 Dec, 2021 @ 12:54pm
Can we get a separate mod for the Desert AAF Uniforms and gear? would love to somewhat blend into the environment ill have my player base fighting in without having to constantly add or remove PBOs
Anthrax  [author] 7 Nov, 2021 @ 12:23am
I dont know, use at own risk
MultiSuperDoge 6 Nov, 2021 @ 4:07am
Will this work with 3CB?
Exo-Geno 27 Oct, 2021 @ 3:05am
But just a quick thing: It's not only the vests but also some of the vehicles aswell that get changed back to greenback,It seems to be mainly only from Aegis though. not a big ass deal
Exo-Geno 27 Oct, 2021 @ 3:03am
This works with Aegis and all of that, though I have to edit the Vests and Nightvisions to desert fitting ones because Some of them get reset back to Disruptive Green ALPAT. Other than that, great mod
Anthrax  [author] 21 Oct, 2021 @ 10:02pm
I dont know its been years since i last even looked at this. Use at own risk.
Willeo 20 Oct, 2021 @ 6:56pm
Is this compatible with Aegis?
Ror 4 Sep, 2021 @ 10:07pm
Awesome mod!
trickshot_oo7 29 May, 2021 @ 12:52pm
Love the mod, what about a retexture of the AAF with multicam colors like AAF 2017? It would fit better than both desert and woodland.
Anthrax  [author] 8 Apr, 2021 @ 11:35pm
No. As far as i'm concerned this projects finished. Beyond game breaking issues, i'm not supporting it.
Internethetzer 8 Apr, 2021 @ 11:47am
Any plans on an Aegis compat?
Anthrax  [author] 31 Dec, 2020 @ 1:47am
pure config work isnt fun. Tried that, cant finish it without dying inside.
𝓣𝓴ヅ 30 Dec, 2020 @ 11:38pm
It would be better if it could be turned into a new faction instead of covering the original faction.
'LiToVio 13 Nov, 2020 @ 12:25pm
Mod for Desert Troops AAF excellent author thank you very much as I love AAF troops very much and for special forces AAF thank you too :AAF: :goodidea:
Krissy 24 Oct, 2020 @ 12:50am
Hey Anthrax, looks like ArmA 3 added a CTRG retexture for altis n stuff. "Arid CTRG" that's funny! lol. Guess you won't need to worry about a retexture of CTRG! Anyways, great mod 2x.
Koger 9 Oct, 2020 @ 6:34pm
Is it possible for you to make compatibility with Aegis AAF Factions
Anthrax  [author] 23 Aug, 2020 @ 12:19pm
Ok thats a bit odd, i dont have the files on me at the moment and its rather late so i cant directly check, but il investigate when i can.
OdinCZ 23 Aug, 2020 @ 11:03am
The server can be seen in the basic BI Arma 3 launcher. Only in the A3 launcher the server is not visible after adding the mode to the server. I guess there's a problem with the bike. When I remove the mod from the server, it can be seen in the A3 launcher again
Anthrax  [author] 23 Aug, 2020 @ 10:54am
@OdinCZ could you elaborate further? The BIKEY is meant for the server so it can accept the BISIGN files. The mod should still be visible in the clients launcher, all you need to do on the server side of things is make sure that the commandline for the server includes the pbo name.
OdinCZ 23 Aug, 2020 @ 4:00am
Hi, I had your mod added to the A3 launcher. But there is a problem with the bike. Bikey causes from the server then not visible in the list in the A3 launcher. It could be solved somehow. The mod is great
Wastl 16 Jul, 2020 @ 3:30am
Thats kinda sad to see because the thing that bugs me the most is the fact that the guerillas uniforms that include some aaf clothing are stil green :/
Anthrax  [author] 19 Jun, 2020 @ 10:01pm
@Alphadarkness, thanks for the constructive feedback, however at the moment i consider this a "finished" project, as im not really interested in working on it further at the moment, perhaps in future il revisit it but not at the moment.
Ironclad09 19 Jun, 2020 @ 11:24am
Finally sorry for the really long train of comments
Ironclad09 19 Jun, 2020 @ 11:23am
( Ive noticed that the actual missile specialists are using the CSAT AT launcher and the NATO AA launcher and was wondering if you could replace the Normal AAF turrets with those ones. Another thing I have noticed is that the helicopter pilot and helicopter crew helmets are still the standard AAF and I was wondering if you could reskin them as well.I Final thing is the officers shoulder straps are green in place of brown. Its pretty minor seeming[refering to the shoulder straps] so by all means if you end up doing this leave it if you like.) This is what ive seen at least. Also yes Ive read the notes Me asking this could be considered asking for an update which if it is seen that sorry, however I think its more of a fix with the uniforms, aircraft and turrets. Also Sorry if this is a lot I dont know how to mod so I dont know how much this is. Again though it looks really good, me and my friends were really impressed. Also no I do not expect you to change up the stuff.
Ironclad09 19 Jun, 2020 @ 11:23am
(As for infantry and Turrets the ASAS are somewhat mixmatched, being some of their magazines and sights will be black while the primary weapon is sand. Some of the Units will have green carryall bags while others with the same bag will be sand or tan color. There is a similar issue with some of the hats being green inplace of the desert camo theme. The AAF turrets are also untextured and are the standard AAF stuff.)
Ironclad09 19 Jun, 2020 @ 11:23am
Hey this is a really good mod. However I've found some things that don't blend in well with the units (they'll have the retexture, but hats and bags will still stick out). I was wondering if you are able and/or willing to fix some of this stuff. Ill leave a list on some of the things I've noticed (The Aircraft Have different camo and can't be set to match, The JAS Griphen has the white air camo while the Alca has and can only be set to brown. I was wondering if you could retexture the Alca to the white camo.)
Anthrax  [author] 14 Jun, 2020 @ 12:46am
@Drod, i havent tested it myself but based on user feedback: Yes.

The addon merely replaces the uniform & vehicle textures as well as some of the weapons units spawn with, so the addon can be used in the main campaign.
Drod™ 13 Jun, 2020 @ 11:48am
Can it be used in the East Wind campaign?
Krissy 30 May, 2020 @ 4:10pm
Cheers!
Anthrax  [author] 30 May, 2020 @ 3:19am
@Krissy, perhaps but i figure the CTRG Mediterranean gear should be appropriate
enough but I'l take a look at a more explicitly desert colour anyways, cheers for the suggestion.
Krissy 29 May, 2020 @ 12:15pm
Anthrax, you thinkin' about making a CTRG Desert camo? Just an idea. Also thanks for making these amazing retextures.
Clit Eastwood 25 May, 2020 @ 5:56pm
I never understood why the AAF had such a bright green camo... this is a solid fix for that!
Anthrax  [author] 15 May, 2020 @ 6:05am
👍
Viper1Zero 15 May, 2020 @ 5:58am
Great, thank you! And thanks for your hard work!
