Do you intend on making this mod for WH3 as well?
Dumbledood 29 May, 2022 @ 11:22pm
Not asking you to change anything since game three is out. But was about to fire up a dwarf campaign and was thinking it might be cool to play guardian of the passes

Nice quality of life addition, thanks :)

Updated:
regions that belong to one of the 2 passes will now have an icon next to the region name
Fengxian0830 1 Aug, 2021 @ 10:12pm
Amazing this will really help me pump up Imirk's start
MadJukes 19 Jul, 2021 @ 12:17pm
Do you have any idea how situations like that with Imrik could be improved? He has such a slow start already and the trade issue really is topping it all off.
MadJukes 19 Jul, 2021 @ 12:16pm
Great mod thank you. I am currently playing a campaign with Imrik on Mortal Empires and it's really annoying that even when you confederate with Caledor in Ulthuan you still cannot trade with literally anyone. I have the dragon isles and even ports in Lustria too but still not able to trade with a single faction.. It's such a bad mechanic in TTW2 *sigh*, one of many.
Human72 18 Jul, 2021 @ 10:24pm
from what i saw it seems the northern one through ostermark and sylvania is the more fessable one for say riekland, and soulland to take then the southern one though averland parts of the border princes, parts of blood river vally and the silver road with the last one a whole major dwarf hold calls that province home the second to last one partly own by orks and the formor two with the second formor a minor faction and the last formor a elector that you got to be on good terms with with the whole elector system to play with.

for easablity the norther route is the way to go.

yep it's working for me now, thanks
prop joe  [author] 17 Jul, 2021 @ 7:04am
I checked the port bonus and I'm pretty sure why it wasn't working, should work now
Malevo 17 Jul, 2021 @ 6:29am
If it's intentional that's fine, however in my current campaign at least the bonus to ports isn't actually being applied to any of my three ports. The silk etc is all working fine though, i'll play through a little while longer and see if the port bonus activates eventually.
prop joe  [author] 17 Jul, 2021 @ 5:19am
That's an intended bonus, do you think it's too strong?
Malevo 16 Jul, 2021 @ 4:59pm
Now that one of the passes is open the tooltip claims all income from ports is increased by 10% which doesn't seem intentional, and no bonus is being applied, is this just a graphical error?
All other effects seem to be working fine.
prop joe  [author] 16 Jul, 2021 @ 1:47am
Works fine
Scribe of Nekoti 14 Jul, 2021 @ 3:03pm
Does this still work?
Rio 2 Apr, 2021 @ 6:08pm
can confirm still works for rakarth update with sfo
GLORY 28 Feb, 2021 @ 9:03am
I agree with gerhardt,I also have same problem when I play this with SFO
Gerhardt 21 Feb, 2021 @ 11:21pm
thank you very much for your work! just reporting that all the passes are still going on as "open" in my campaign even though kislev is dead and grimgor is in barak varr and karaz-a-karak. heavily modded game though, could be something else causing it (but shouldn't, afaik, since this one doesn't conflict with anything, really?). anyway just fyi. thank you for the idea and the execution.

Tomb Kings'd allow trade. Tomb Kings'd probably encourage trade more than most living folk. Smelly ol' mummies *love* trade. It's like their whole shtick.

After some intense soul searching the mod now also applies to Bretonnian factions.
Ciaphas Cain 30 Jun, 2020 @ 3:45pm
Ah you never know what CA have touched so always best to ask.
prop joe  [author] 30 Jun, 2020 @ 3:13pm
it 👏 still 👏 works 👏
Horny Jail 30 Jun, 2020 @ 4:28am
Update ?
Ciaphas Cain 31 May, 2020 @ 7:40pm
Does this need updating?
Carcino 11 Feb, 2020 @ 11:58am
I love little details like these, I wish the game was filled with them.
FranzKarlGeorg 6 Feb, 2020 @ 2:39pm
Wonderful!

A suggestion: You could add a dilemma if a faction holds a full pass: decide whether to keep it fully open (% increase in tariffs income from trade factionwide, & diplomatic bonuses with countries you trade with), or keep it open only for your own merchants ( diplomatic penalty with all factions you trade with, % increase in buildings income factionwide). The first represents a trade-oriented faction benefiting from open trade, while the second represents a protectionist faction....
T E A 5 Feb, 2020 @ 3:21pm
thanks dude, cool work
prop joe  [author] 5 Feb, 2020 @ 2:13pm
It works with SFO.
T E A 5 Feb, 2020 @ 3:41am
Is this compatible with major overhauls like SFO?
Jair369 2 Feb, 2020 @ 9:34pm
I really like this idea.
Spiritouspath 2 Feb, 2020 @ 4:44pm
just fyi mod works :)
prop joe  [author] 2 Feb, 2020 @ 8:17am
That is correct. If you have the unlocker you can play as the other Empire factions, and it'll affect them. It'll also affect Kislev and TEB, since the game considers them to be Empire, and I'm OK with that.

Huntsmarshall's Expedition isn't affected.
Gwenolric 2 Feb, 2020 @ 7:50am
So this mod only affect Reikland and the Golden Order? Is The Huntsmarshal's Expedition affected too? (meaning that they receive the bonus, not that they contribute to this mod)
prop joe  [author] 2 Feb, 2020 @ 7:32am
Only the Empire provinces are affected.

Skaven use other trade routes to the south, and Bretonnia mostly trades by sea.
Gwenolric 2 Feb, 2020 @ 7:26am
Question here. Which races precisely are affected by this mod? Empire yes, apparently Dwarf no and the rest? Vampire seems maybe, like Skaven. Also, wouldn't Bretonnia be affected too?
