Glad you got it to work :)

Can confirm the power tab is greyed out when starting tribal, couldn't reproduce the issue with VFE Tribal though. I'm afraid I don't have time to maintain mods anymore so if someone wants to request another modder update this mod I'm fine with it.

when using this with vfe tribals wild man start, all of their basic research is unlocked. and yeah, the power tab is greyed out too.

yea i saw that too that my power tab greyed @littlesister I got around it using dev mode and god mode to un greyed it

There is no research, it is unlocked by default. I've just been playing today and it's working fine for me.

the conduits doesnt show up in the electricity tab (in fact its greyed out)
and i cant find any research covering them
how can i build them?

I understand that you were unable to make it short circuit in the rain. However, there are other ways to help this in terms of balance.

Compare to the old, original mod: The old mod only required 30 Work to build (so you doubled the work). But the Flammability and Beauty was the same as it is now. And the cost in the old mod was 3 steel, compared to this version's 2 steel - so the cost in material actually went down.

Personally, I think the Flammability should go up, at the very least. That 70% is the same Flammability as for vanilla conduits. Being primitives, they are probably limited to using wood and/or stone for insulation, so shouldn't it be more like 80 or 90% (at least)? Maybe the steel should go up to 3, too?

Oh man was worth a shot XD

Sadly that is specific to batteries it seems. I tried adding it but it just throws a red error and doesn't work anymore. It was worth a shot though.

Ah, thanks for that! I'll add it right now.
MrXarous 4 lug 2022, ore 11:12
You could try <comp> <shortCircuitInRain>true</shortCircuitInRain> </comp> as a tag on the conduits and that at least should help with balance for some.

Alright, it's updated and ready to go.

@TurtleShroom: As far as I know I can't do that. The Zzzzt event is hardcoded to only look for the vanilla conduit and doesn't recognize any others added by mods. So nothing I can do about it sadly, otherwise I highly agree it should short out and probably more easily than the normal conduit too.

@Errant_Gunner: It should work as is, I'll test and put up the update soon.
TurtleShroom 4 lug 2022, ore 7:43
I strongly suggest that you make it short circuit in the rain, for the sake of balance.

1.3?

It should work just fine but I went ahead and pushed the update just in case. Have fun :)
thc1138 22 dic 2020, ore 22:11
does this work for this version?
#6  [autore] 13 apr 2020, ore 7:22
For anyone that asks why, RTFM.
lilwhitemouse 12 apr 2020, ore 15:32
I think a better approach than losing power would be higher risk of shorts. Okay, losing power is reasonable too.

Nice idea
Mathspode (Qc) 17 feb 2020, ore 20:02
but why ?
#6  [autore] 17 feb 2020, ore 16:32
I'm sure it could be done, however I don't know C# to code it. You might want to post your idea to the forums though, someone might like the idea too and make it.
ashhhh2 17 feb 2020, ore 16:24
fair enough but sadly i don't need it if you could make a worse version that loses half the power it transfers i think that could be pretty interesting to as like a more primitive version of the normal one so as to make it worth getting the normal ones tell what you think of it i'm just curious i don't even know if it can be done
#6  [autore] 17 feb 2020, ore 16:21
Not a single thing, it's a conduit that even tribals can make. The use case for this is for when you have mods that allow you to obtain things that need power through raiding or some such.
ashhhh2 17 feb 2020, ore 16:19
what does it do different from the normal one?
