Yes, this is known. I talk about it in the discord (linked here and on all the mod pages) but that is because the ASA dev kit has not updated with the spawns. I can't do anything about it until it updates

Hi, sorry to come here but I can't comment in the ASA mod. In Ragnarok, the mod's creatures are only spawning in the desert. They don't spawn in other areas of the map. Do you know if it's a bug in the map or the mod? Certain creatures, like the Cryodrakon, for example, don't spawn at all since they only appear in the snow. And that's happening to most of the mods, all of the creatures are only spawning in the desert biome, if there´s no natural spawn from the creature in the desert, they don´t spawn at all.

Are you on single player or a server?
If you are single player, disabling hibernation does fix a lot of spawn issues.
Otherwise, you can use ini to tweak spawns. Which map is the issue?

Hello, i don't know if it's just me, but I am encountering a particular issue with the Yangchuanosaurus dinosaur, which, in my case, has an abnormally high spawn rate in the Arctic biome, ruining the gameplay experience. If anyone knows how to fix this, I would appreciate a solution. Otherwise, congratulations to the mod creator for providing exceptional work.

That's more of an ark issue. If you load my mod first, then you get my seeds and not those seeds. No way around it

i think this mod has a compatibillity issues with additional creatures 2, you cant harvest strawberry seeds for some reason when this mod is enabled

In the discord you can see the many TLCs that the creatures have received. I hope to one day bring them into ASE too

It's an old review, and all of the issues have long been addressed. I'd recommend you try the mod, its fun and full of a nice variety of creatures!

Confirmed working in 2025 on Fjordur

I did recently get a 4tb ssd so i could in theory get back into ASE. I have the files (I think, I hope they aren't corrupt). If I did mod again on ASE, I think I'd just update the creatures that had TLCs in ASA and add those into ASE.

Issue is a matter of time. I only have so much, and I have a full time job. So right now, i dont know or have an answer

Theoretically: If someone sent money your way to make/commission a new model for ASE, could you find it in your heart to download the kit again? I love the effort you put into your work but I can’t upgrade my server for my friends, due to hardware issues. You can say no, but I figured I’d ask.

Yes you can use this mod with that mod. I know some people have used Nasutoceratops vs Savage Acro. Tho, like any boss, its best to breed many strong creatures. And many of my creatures could work

better question: is this mod even safe to use with ark additions? (sorry if I talk too much lol)

savage acro is currently wrecking my ark

i tamed a prehistoric beast army to use against the savage acro of ark additions AND MY ARMY GOT DECIMATED (didn't kill the damn acro so I left it to roam)

They do eat fish cakes, but must be force fed like achatina and their veggie cakes.

What do you feed the Giant Sea Slug AFTER taming them? I've looked into the Discussions thread on these and found nothing stating what they eat after taming them, as they're not eating Meat, Crops, Seeds, or Fish Cakes and so we've just been taming them and having to have them slowly die.

Eerie variants are only in the ASA mod

Hello I was wondering about the eerie dinosaurs, I've looked around a bit and don't see anything about them, is it just a harder to find and cooler look or does it have stat differences as well.

The ASE dev kit was close to 2TB of space. the ASA kit is over 1TB. I simply do not have space for both. With a full time job, even if I did have both, I don't have the time to update both ASA and ASE. I hope to be able to at least maintain the ASE mod, but atm I simply can't.

I wish the ASA game was more computer friendly, but it isn't feasable for me to have the ASE and ASA kit plus both ASE and ASA game

I don't have ARK ASA because my PC can't handle it. Therefore it is a shame that you are not continuing with the mod for technical reasons.

is it just me or are all the creatures just too cute?

I don't have the ASE dev kit installed anymore (don't have enough space). The other variants of Anzu have far more noticeable differences. Anzu also has far more complex code (which leads it to also be larger)

Would it be possible to cut down a little on Anzu? its almost 400MB by itself and the females/males look pretty identical despite having separate texture files

Paraxenisaurus has a similar size, is also featured, around the same size file, but doesn't have double files for the m/f differences

weird, seeing how I'm on ASE. And this is an ASE port to it, kinda tempted to chalk it up to ark coding and bad luck.

They do drop a bag, in ASA, this bag works differently. They are tameable, and have 2 different saddles. Once tamed, you can mount and ride them on land or water, like any other creature pretty much.

So, I've killed several koolasuchus and no bag. it said there's a 50% chance for wild koolasuchus to drop a bag. and also it says you can ride them, and there's a saddle, but in game, it doesn't let me ride it. is it like the diplocalus in terms of rideability?
