I would love this little building but reloading a save caused some furniture inside to appear a good 10 stories above the building in the air. i would love to see this fixed! I would do it myself but I'm too inexperienced to know how to do it. As others have noted it also has pathfinding issues very bad when it's first placed. Balance could also be improved, but some may disagree with that; I'd personally like to see the building cost increased to maybe 2 or 3 building materials, rather than just one. Apologies for the long message, and it is not meant to be discouraging! I hope to see this mod updated! TY <3

The purpose I found was to have something quick to build and get out of the harsh environment. If only this building can be updated to have a longer vertical foundation to suit the land. When trying to rise it higher, the walkway gets cut off making the panic room non enter-able.

um... built a panic room. Bandits came, ran inside, locked the door.
And they just beat on the door until it opened and I wasn't safe any more?
So I don't see the purpose of this building? Other than as a small round thing that's kinda cute?

I downloaded and installed this mod. I built the panic room, but my character cannot go inside. How do I fix this?

Sometimes things built inside a panic room will spawn above the room way up in the air when loading a save. Noticed this with shop counters specifically.

Not going to use it but it could be handy for when you are in the cannibal plains, because when you sleep you're unconcious so these stupid cannibals just try to pick you up and take you with them but since you're now locked up in a room you can relax a bit more without being annoyed by a few you scrawny cannibals. Trust me I had this problem, I had a 5 squat of martial arts men and after a long fight in (Deadcat I believe) my men were obviously kinda hurt, so I tried to sleep but the cannibals kept on waking up and tried taking me with them, but eventual everyone recovered and we went out of there with the grand cannibal wizard.

I love the mod. Thank you so much. What is the door health?. Can you make it much more then 500? (stronger gate IV health). Maybe you can make apart from this one, also stronger version (e.g. available through research/blueprint)?

Weird. I'll have to look into it but that definitely shouldn't be happening. I've only built the research bench, beds, lights, and the campfire without issues.

I really like the look and design of this building. Hope you will make some more like it!
I also have a strange behavior to report, I built a prisoner cage inside of it and when I loaded, the cage was in the air a great distance directly over the interior. Is there a special trick to building stuff inside of it?

I like it but I'm not touching 4k textures. Kenshi is just too poorly optmized to use them.

Thanks everyone for your interest in this little mod!

This was mostly a proof of concept, that new buildings and interiors are possible, I know others have made them but I've never created custom interior triggers that this building required in order to work. I didn't really expect it to get as popular as it has. Since it has received so much attention I'll work on improving the quality of the building.

The door probably isn't strong enough to be a fully functional panic room, I was more interested in getting a custom door to fit properly and function.

I am aware that the textures are massive files, I'll work on reducing the size while maintaining the quality.

Yes, it looks good. However, I could swear that you could reduce the texture size from a whopping 4096 x 4096 down to 2048 x 2048 without noticeably impacting the looks.

IMHO, this mod would be much more useful if the "creates player town" flag was set to "false". Why make it so that placing this tiny building, all by itself, creates what the game considers a town? All that does is, effectively, shout, "a new town ripe for plundering is right here" - an invitation to getting raids.

Also, what Shir Blackwater and Cameron Parris said. It would be nice to be able to build small, 2-story buildings with some sort of roof access so that crossbows can be used to shoot at range.

I would expand on this small building. Because eventually the AI WILL break through it, eventually. And either your people will starve to death before then, or the AI will whittle it down. So i recommend expanding it into a larger, multi-floored building. Where you can safely have all you need in order to funnel in and wipe out your enemy.

Designating nodes for things like turrets and lights are a massive pain to get right. I'm still learning how they work and how to assign them. In the future it will probably have at least light nodes to place spotlights.

Looks pretty good, I will try this one out. I think a version where you can access the roof and place a turret or two on top might be interesting for creating some defensive positions or small corner towers to go with the simple walls or the wire fence mod so turrets can fire over them.

sweeeeet like i said i like how it looks now so will use any ways, just though it would make a gud addition to the metal scrap buildings collection aswell kinda like a giant industrial tanker or something like that cut into and made into a home would be a cool idea in the same vein as the metal wall houses and swamp buildings are built in the style of like stuff scavenged off the ground and ramshackled together to form a house

Maybe one day. I've got a lot that I'm working on right now so plans of alternate skins aren't really on the list yet. Mostly more building mods and more character mods. If I get time i might work on more textures for this building, but that's a ways off.

i really like the building shape, any chance you could do a reskin or see how the vanilla textures show up on this for the metal wall house/ swamper buildings so it would be like a metal panel building version? kinda like the metal wallhouse version of a small shack?
