Okay, firstly, you got it all wrong, so I'll explain in detail.

In steamapps\workshop\content\362890\2028388947, there's a VPK folder called "ginahud". Move that file into the custom folder, which is located in steamapps/common/black mesa/bms/custom.

If you did the custom folder guide I put up here, the game will load the file and the UI etc will appear.

then where is it supposed to be installing the files? isent this a mod for black mesa source?

ive followed the instructions to the letter but this mod has no effect ingame.

Sorry, forgot in source engine its a pak file, im so much used to goldsrc modding, I still cant get the mod to work, I have realls no idea whats causing it

It's a .vpk file, not a .pak file. And most importantly, make sure you don't have any other mods that might be conflicting with my own addon.

To add more, I tested it myself, as I suspected you need to use a custom folder or else the mod will simply wont work.

That was actually part of the reason I decided to make a hud like this. I thought the two would go well together should people use it. (Great mod by the way)
