Did the problem with not actually having the ability to invite family members ever get fixed?

Apologies, I was using RimSort all this time without looking at Rimworld's modlist menu, and RimSort was showing dependency for HugsLib while set for 1.6 RW folder. Checked Rimworld menu for mods and it doesn't alert of the missing dependency there. Turns out the issue is only on the RimSort side

Zibrolta16 - that's how it's supposed to be, modDependencies is only used for older versions (that don't know about modDependenciesByVersion, or that are not specified in it), the empty list in modDependenciesByVersion for 1.6 overrides the non-versioned tag and tells the game it has no dependencies.

I've checked the mod's file and the about.xml has HugsLib listed in the modDependencies list, ther modDependenciesByVersion only have Harmony seperately listed for 1.4 and 1.5, while 1.6 is also included there but having no mods listed.

Zibrolta16 - there shouldn't be any dependencies in 1.6, the mod uses modDependenciesByVersion to specify an empty list for that version

Could you please edit the about.xml of this mod so it properly shows dependencies for 1.6 because as of now it still shows the requirement for HugsLib on 1.6

To test started a new game with only Core, Royalty, Ideology, Biotech, Harmony, and Long Distance, crashlanded start, 2 colonists have relations (lover for one, a daughter for the other) with pawns that were left behind on character selection, and god mode in a comms console and some power and no option appears to invite either character.

Tried disabling all DLC so just Core, Harmony and LD, same thing.

4th. I love the idea of this mod but sadly I'm not seeing any options in the comms console to invite people. I've even tried calling the faction they're in (lover of one of my colonists) thinking it might be an option from there, but no dice.

Third... there is no option to invite the fiance of my pawn. There just isn't an option to even talk about it.

@hex thats a dope idea, go find your spouse/parent and maybe do a quest that spawns near them so the faction leader isnt unhappy that you're stealing one of their members and raids your caravan/base in retaliation.

I am not kidding. I find this mod mandatory for the game. the drama added by such a simple mod is incredible. imagine hearing your wife survived the spaceliner crash but due to orbital trajectory is on the other side of the continent. you tell her you have friends where you are and its safe. so she embarks on an epic quest to cross the rim to join your colony. I think it would be rad if you could actually go on a quest yourself to go pick them up via shuttle, or caravan. but still this is amazing and the only way to actually have families in your colony.

@General Vladislav that's a base game issue. The game loves generating absurd amounts of family relationships even with new pawns.

@shortbear might be worth looking at mods you use that help speed up the game / reduce lag. From memory there was at least one that would delete world pawns as they can contribute a fair bit of lag to a game.

I would normally have picked that as the issue but this is really consistent. like, almost no world pawns remain at all after a bit. I have a suspicion that it's vanilla social interactions expanded so i'm going to try my next run without it and see if anything changes.

@ShortBear Sometimes, but, I always contributed to "background noise". I use Dynamic Diplomacy often, so I figure, people just getting killed in random conflicts, heh.

Anyone had a longtime issue with world pawns just vanishing off of the socials list and being unable to be found? I don't think it's an issue with this mod but i see no errors during the sessions when it happens and it pretty well interferes with everything this mod is about. Happens without optimizer mods like rocketman or runtimeGC but I do have several other mods, just unable to diagnose what could be causing it.

Similar issue, occasionally colonists arrive and hovering over the 'colonists en route' just remains blank, no information given, and colonists are listed as missing.

Getting the same exact error as Cranu mentioned, except the invited colonist never arrived and has disappeared from the game entirely.

Oh god, don't use any polygamist ideoligions with this unless you want massive lists, especially if you use hospitality. I regret the ideoligion, mood bonus might not be worth the chaos (not just this mod).

Quick question, probably noob-ish, sorry. Is it better to try to put this mod near the top or the bottom of the load order? I use a lot of mods and sometimes my colony doesn't get the option to contact via comms console even when I KNOW there are pawns with relationships in other factions.

Hey, I have a problem with the mod since a while. Doesnt happen always, just sometimes... I try to invite people and than it shows "colonists enroute" but when I go over it with my cursor it shows me stuff from above message, not from the colonist. And the colonists doesnt arrive. Last time it happened they still came in the normal period of time, buuut this time nothing. :( And I miss my RImWorldgrandparents so much. :(

Anyone else have a problem where when you invite a pawn when the reach your colony it spams the XYZ joins on the screen? I had another member join before this one and it worked fine? my colony had 4 invites sent, 2 already showed up fine and the 3rd bugs the game with notification spam.

I can send full logs if it would help but this seems to be the main error to me.

Thank you for a mod I needed since I played my first vanilla run! :) Had a colonist that insisted on staying faithfull to her pre crush boyfrend she never so again... Boring. And a second tank you for updating it so fast! :) Great mod! :)

I would love this to have a chance of a quest with the pawn in question as a reward. And some dialogue. "Oh my god you are still alive! Of course I will join you. I will be there as soon as I can!" or "I am glad you are OK but I am afraid I can't join you at this time. My community needs me. You know.. you are welcome to join me here instead. I am sure you will find a nice home here."(+relationship with faction+favor points) or "I am so happy to hear from you. I wish I could come to you but my chieftain would be really angry. We currently have a problem with insectoids surrounding our base here and they need every able hand. If you can help us with this I am sure I will be able to join you. Hurry though. Time is of the essence. I love you." *click*

When inviting colonists to join, it's telling me they will join "soon" but not giving a specific timeframe. 'Colonists Enroute' is still displaying on the sidebar, but unlike normally, I can't mouse over it to see who's coming or when. It's been longer than the maximum join time since the last time I invited someone. Is there any way to fix this, or make it so that it tells me when these folks are coming?
