Welp Sceo died in a past fight with a spriggan matro and the only one left is Bran. Poor thing is the only one left. So in order for this to kick I have to finish the DawnGaurd? My last pooch! Can't take any chances..

Here's how to make a dog essential (Sceolang for example):
1.) ~
# make sure nothing is selected, you souldn't see any Ref or BaseID in your console window
2.) help "sceolang"
# this will return the BaseID number
3.) SetEssential <BaseID> 1

Guys If any of you want to save bran by making him essential the code is (setessential 0201AA74 1) No brackets and i think sceolang is (setessential 0301AA78 1) seriously no mod for this work and i kinda got irritated so hope this helps anyone....

I completed the quest, placed the mod at the end of the load list but they still aren't marked as essential, do you think you could fix this? :)

it was working for me but when i joined the imperials it broke the only reason why i got this is because i didnt want scelong to die because every time she dies i tear up and start to cry so just fix this freaken mod already

Once again -Bran steps in front of me when I'm using a (blue) daedric warhammer against a Steam Centurion- Centrurion survives for more blows- Bran's dead. Can you just not get it to work? or having a hard time finding the problem?

I just had Bran get in front of a strike and I killed him- using this mod, last in load order. Ideas? Also was about to save since it had been a while, got carried away, but he got killed before I could, now got to start that whole dungeon again.

and have it be compatible with the mod that makes meeko a husky

they didnt follow me.im allied with the dawnguard and completed the main quest the dialogue shows up but when i ask them to follow the simply sit there

@EpicHusky: It depends on the load order. After fiddling with TES5Ediit, the "give a dog a home" mod allows for the respawning of the above mentioned dogs whereas mine makes them essential. The best way for them to work together is to load mine last in the load order to make use of the essential flag. otherwise you will have to wait for them to respawn.

How do i get them to follow me i went straight to get them and they wont follow.

I've tryed that but for some reason it is still not working. are there any specific mods that it is not compatible with? because all I have is the whistle mod and the different species skeletons.

I experiencing a problem where the mod simply does not work. I'm not sure if this effects it this but one of the auto saves already has bran dead so I load an earlyer one where he is alive and one of my followers but even then he is still killable. can you help me? thanks.
