Was just trying to load this; I got a huge number of load errors; and I couldn't find the scripting stuff. Is it out of date; or did I do something wrong? o.O

Please help; would love to play.

Me and my friend really love this mod! But since a while ago he can't load the images so he only sees purple. Does this have something to do with the mod or his pc?

How hard would it be to add a "Random" mode to setup? Like, instead of it always picking Alien, Aliens, Alien 3, etc, could you possibly add a "Random" mode where it picks 3 random objectives and 4 random characters for the barracks?

It's not too bad to just set it up manually, but that would be a big timer saver in the long run!

Thanks again for your hard work on this mod - really nice to option to have when I don't feel like shuffling over and over in solo play haha.

Hi, something that I noticed when playing with friends is that there are some missing cards from the drone deck. There should be 3 of each alien, 2 events, and 1 facehugger. In addition using the PDF from https://boardgamegeek.com/filepage/107161/1-page-card-list this page shows that there should be 2 events in each mini-deck. However there are 4 drone deck events put in the mini-deck and 2 non-labeled event cards put in. I do not know if this would impact play, since you could get a random facehugger. However I do not know if this was rolled back from the base rules.

I found out what it was for me, at least. I hadn't chosen a color as player. When I did, it solved it.

I believe I have seen a bug like the one you described and it was a TTS bug. Do you have screenshots or a short video of the problem?

Hi. There seems to be a glitch. I can't draw cards and when I do, they are just double backs of the cards, when they are in my hand.

Dicky Dick Dickens and SonicBird, sorry it took so long, guys. TTS was crashing and showing a message saying "Unknown Error", that was very annoying to debug. So I took a break. Well, it seems it was a TTS problem that was fixed in version 13.0.

Now, the inverted Hive Deck bug seems to be fixed! Try it, please!

Not sure about other modes, but the covenant expasnion hive deck is out of order, i drew david right away in 2 games.

@Misery, players need to select a spot at the table (choose a colour) before they can draw cards from their decks.

ok sorry in advance cause I'm new. I selected the game (aliens) then 2 players. 2 questions - 1 is there a start button because it's not letting me draw cards.

2- do we have to manually put drones and soldiers in or are they auto generated?

SonicBird and Dicky, Tabletop Simulator has some funny timing when you move objects around the table. I finally managed to reproduce the problem you reported using another computer (not my own) and it happened only with the Alien scenario. I will look into this this weekend. Thanks

i think i fixed the problem, you just need to delay stacking. Look for the end 80) code line near the deck stack 3 2 1, and change the 80 to 180. Save and play, then proceed to save the game onto your own file so that you dont have to load the bad scripted file from workshop.:steammocking:

Using the scripted setup the Hive Deck for "Alien" is inverted (Obj. 3 on top), for "Aliens" it's (231). Shouldn't it always be 123? Thanks!

loving this mod so far, thank you so much mosquete. my brother and i have been in separate countries since the pandemic began and this has been a great way for us to spend time together.

i have 1 question (probably stupid): when i drag cards to what i assume is my "hand area" and i flip them, i cannot see their frontside. i can only flip them normally when they're out of my hand, anywhere else on the board. what am i doing wrong?

You were right! The side boards had multiple copies stacked one over the other. I do not know how it happened but it is fixed now. I also removed some 3D modules that were been loaded but were not visible. I hope the this module runs lighter for you now.

Normally mods run pretty smoothly on my computer but this one is really jerky. Notice that none of the sideboards go away after setup? Also each of them have 11 identical "boards" on top of each other? Seemed to run smoother when I got rid of them?

does anybody else have an issue where the hand areas randomly stop working? the cards won't be drawn into your hand properly, and instead will float around. Playing on Hotseat mode.

@reshevsky, now you made it clear what you meant.

The setup is correct , according to the updated rules. What you described are the original rules, and they have been revised by the designers. On the first and second expansion, there is a new Drone Chart that replaces the one from the base game. That is the one I am using.

@mosquete I just launched the game for 2 players and Hive deck shows 36 cards (not included drones from expansion).

There should be 39 cards so sth is not ok.

Hive:

Drone cards: 6 cards should be added for 2 players.
Objective 1 - 9 cards
Objective 2 - 11 cards
Objective 3 - 13 cards

reshevsky, It does shuffle Drone Cards into Hive deck correctly. That is the whole purpose of the scripted setup. If it is not doing correctly, I should fix it.

Reffy, it is not really missing cards, the number of hazard cards is correct. But you are right about the indication on the card misleading you. The important thing is that is is a Hazard card, do not mind the "set" it came from.

Don't do automatic setup !!! - It doesn't shuffle Drone Cards into Hive deck correctly.

You need build Hive Deck like that:

9 cards - 1 objective - you need to add Drone Cards depending on how many players there are ( 1 card for 1 player, 2 cards for 2 players etc.)

11 cards - 2 objective - you need to add Drone Cards depending on how many players there are ( 1 card for 1 player, 2 cards for 2 players etc.)

13 cards - 3 objective - you need to add Drone Cards depending on how many players there are ( 1 card for 1 player, 2 cards for 2 players etc.)

Covenant expansion is missing the "hazard" cards.

Covenant expansion doesn't have the event cards from phase 1 and 2. Instead, it has duplicates of phase 3. Not a huge problem, but was confusing in the beginning.

The script for the Covenant expansion builds the deck upside down! (i.e. phase 3 on top, phase 1 on bottom)
Separately, this also suffers from the same problem as the other modules on which it is based, the hidden backs of some cards do not appear correct when in another player's hand, they appear as a solid black card.

The scripted part in this mod is a bit annoying/weak. What if I want to add soldier aliens, or remove them? I now have to pick apart the hive deck that's automatically made.

What if I want to play with different characters in the barracks? Same thing, I have to pick apart the barracks deck.

Avatar cards are weirdly locked. That's unnecessary.

It would be nice if you could stop the scripts so I could make my own deck, or add more options to the "choose movie" screen.

Hopefully another update will fix that. I'll look into the config a little further too. I'm not really used to tweak this program yet.

Just when I began to understand how to beat the game ! :)

Hi Kobalt, regarding the "invisible card", I have not scripted that part of the board. It is a Tabletop Simulator bug.
It is really annoying that the board do not just appear, they slowly "grow". I have noticed that too after a Tabletop Simulator's update. There should be an option to turn this behavior off.

Ok, I didn't change anything in the mod, game or even in my computer's configuration but the previous bug has, with no apparent reason, turned into another one yesterday.

Now when I load it the table objects on which the cards lie don't spawn at full size. They just grow and all the card fall apart. When I launch a game the board is already a mess and it's unplayable.

The non-scripted version of the game apparently has the exact same problem.

I hope it can be fixed, I really like this mod.

Hello! Great mod! But I can't find a way to play this 2 handed - What am I doing wrong ? I chose a color, but I can't pick a 2nd color to play coop ? Thank you
