In the 1950s, China and the Soviet Union had very good relations, so they copied these weapons technologies and learned them at the same time. I don't think @ArchangelSK Has too much of a bias, just opinions about aesthetics. As I've said, Chinese weapons are now longer just copies of other weapons. If you've done any research of your own, you'll realise that ALL Chinese missiles, firearms, ships as well as upcoming 5th gen aircraft are all original inventions. I think I've also mentioned that the Japs don't copy other either and they have never done so. The Japanese despite relying on the US for "defence" makes their own sophisticated weaponry and should not be underestimated

@Ubi's BUG @Ninjagrape, please pardon @ArchangelSK for his/her ill will. The western media has been busy railing against China since its emergence as a military superpower.
