It would be a good idea to add for the Warhammer 3´s mod if it is possible
It's not clear if Campaign Day\Night Cycle is already included in this one.
Godspeed sweet prince
I am halfway through
Yes
@Davide
Pretty much same as vanilla
Thanks for your awesome work! Have your other mods too
Hello, Lizardmen jungle should have also sunsets, rain, and night.
Try going in custom battles and launch a non quest-battle Lizardmen map (like temple of huanchi), then go back to map menu and relaunch again to see if weather is changed.
That's a good way to test if the mod is working.
Also keep in mind that sunny days have higher % then other weathers.
I want to ask, is the mod doesnt working on my game? Im playing as the lizardman, and havent found any battle weather other than sunny days (Im in lustria)
Its just the campaing of that area that way?
well for every map where corruption skyboxes are present their should be a version where it isn't (as in an uncorrupted version) so in theory just replace corrupted versions with the uncorrupted version. I think you could implement this into your main mod as a checkbox or something. Or even better just change the map lighting when a corruption sky box is present so it doesnt necessarily change the entire sky but instead just makes the map clear and not green, purple , blue etc
yes it is possible, I am not a fan of the corruption skyboxes either.
Do you have any suggestions?
Thank you buddy.
It will require time since Warhammer 3 uses a different system which means I have to do the mod from scratch without porting anything, but I am working on it and this mod is number 1 priority for me.
I know some Warhammer 3 maps have weird lighiting, which means I also have fixes to make:
overly bright maps, shadows covering half maps, corruption with rainbow colors, etc. but we will get there.
If anything, Wh3 lighting system allow better customization and less limitations compared to Wh2.
So thank you again for the hard work. Really appreciate it! Some battle maps in WH3 with vanilla lighting look awful.
I will try to answer in order:
1- The SSAO issues are unavoidable and they also affect Warhammer 3 badly.
However, Warhammer 3 allows for shadows tuning in way that you can make the lighting look very good even without SSAO, so I will make a "NO SSAO" version of this mod for Warhammer 3.
As for Warhammer 2, it is doomed I am afraid.
2- I know, unfortunately Skaven underground maps share the lighting with some outdoor maps, so if I tune those it will end with underground looking cool and outdoor looking bad.
Warhammer 3 fixed this issue by allowing an unique lighting preset for each map.
3- The only way to see the differences is by testing them all for some week a get the feel of them.
Does this mod happen to "fix" (workaround) the broken SSAO lighting on certain Snow maps? Visual mods are tricky because I'm very mindful about performance drops (I greatly surpass the games specs but the game engine itself seems to struggle a lot), but I haven't been able to find any good performance mods other than the blood modifications.
It's a shame the underground skaven maps can't be fixed, because those have some of the worst lighting/shadow issues in the game as far as I've seen.
Does there happen to be a comparison of what the various lighting and weather mods on the workshop happen to do? They seem to differ in scope, but it's difficult to tell without visual reference.
I am really sorry about your issue my friend, happy to know this helps!
As for Warhammer 3 I am already working on it and it will be better than this ;-)
Long time I don't mess with the mod but if i recall well I think I did disable them for sunny weather
I love this mod compared to vanilla, but miss those cloud shadows.
