I don't know. Maybe it's the same problem as @クリスチャン mentioned about the crossbow?
Just tested it and it seems like I have no problem.
I don't play MP either.
I think that's because the original file it's "whoosh" sound, so it makes sense to have it for the crossbow bolt.
I don't play much multiplayer so I won't notice this. Even if I do play it, it will feel just the same as Battlefield 4 haha. Perhaps I could just imagine that tranquilizer will make the bolt crack. (it is fast enough to pin an Alien Grunt to the wall anyway)
It's either hardcoded or in the Crossbow .QC as an sound event.
But Battlefield 4 does that too iirc. I was once being shot by another player with crossbow and it makes crack. Maybe CC gave the crossbow nearmiss sfx for that same reason?
