It should work.
The only thing that wouldn't work well with this mod would be another mod that remove the vanilla food restriction menu and it would only prevent you to change which food you want to restrict.
Open the vanilla food restiction menu then click "select food restriction" ( top-left in the screenshot )
Then select the TameRestriction rule, you can modify what allowed here.
Turns out it does not happen under those conditions, so it's definitely something specific to my save file, but not my modlist. I have wargs, timberwolves, and horses (~10 in total) in my save though, so maybe it has something to do with multiple animals having different diet types?
"I've also confirmed that the issue doesn't occur with a new game and only a few animals"
Can you elaborate more on this point? I'm not sure I understood it correctely.
It only occur with specific animal? which one? do these animal have the same diet type?
Never noticed a shutter, it's maybe a weird mod interaction.
I made this mod in a way to just use the vanilla food restriction menu, pawn rule remove it to add a custom one, I have no workaround for that one.
Maybe you can try to use mod that add more button to open the menu, it can maybe work depending on how pawn rule patched it.
Weird issue, you sure it come from this mod? If you remove it does it work fine?
you should remove the corpse in the restriction.
Not sure if it's disabled by defaut, will check it.
i used Animal Food Restrictions,so is that if i install three of these mod i can totally block animal eating something without blocking tame and train?
(hmm, but i think it won't work,Animal Food Restrictions will overwrith((or cover?)) other two of mod)
Thanks for the response. :3
are there any plans to add integration with Pawn Rules? That mod hides the vanilla food restriction menu, so the rule created by this mod cannot be modified.
I didn't check the code in deep, but for most taming thing the code use the "ingestible" value of the animal, that probably the food amount needed to replenish your food bar from 0 to full.
When a pawn search a food stack for taming, I think he check for a stack that have an amount at least egal to the animal ingestible value, that would be approximately 48 for thrumbo.
If there a mod that correct that behaviour and those that follow it would be nice !
- When you queue taming between each tame your pawn won't check if he still have enougth food to tame the next animal.
-When you force tame and the pawn don't have enougth food in inventory, he only priotize to take food without priotizing the taming.
Where in the game's code is the 48 specified, do you know?
But this is smething I have always found annoying, so I'm glad to see your mod!
@QraTz yep better pawn control does that, https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/browse/?appid=294100&searchtext=better+pawn+control&childpublishedfileid=0&browsesort=textsearch§ion=home
