@Vaniellis: drop this all the way down in load order.

The newest 2.8.1 Beta Patch (checksum dfce) has the following in the patch notes:
" The option to play as the Machine Uprising when that happens is now back. "
This mod is no longer needed if you are running on 2.8.1 Beta.

Update to 2.8, all credit to Ariphaos - !!Ariphaos Unofficial Patch (2.8)

Now will overwrite only syndaw.1020 event.

It should be fine with 2.8 but I will have a look in the morning/evening/night. Or you could use Ariphaos Unofficial Patch which fixes this and over a hundred other bugs.

Hey, latest update confirmed yet?
Mgr. Darkmart 13 Oct, 2020 @ 4:27am
Can confirm. Bug still present in 2.7.2 and this mod fix that.

Interesting! This makes a lot of sense, I do not play AI rebellion much but I can imagine it causing issues in some cases. Classic Paradox.

The playable AI rebellion caused a lot of bugs (for example getting stuck in the l-cluster, some technology issues and so on).
The solution from paradox to fix this was to remove the feature for the time being (probably because they didnt want to bother with fixing all the bugs, more and more incoming the more patches came, so it was easier for them).
It is not the only feature they commented out, because it promised to cause too much trouble (marauder and feral prethoryn infighting too for example). Another "removed" feature is the ai being unable to use other bombarding than selective and tomb world bombing was also removed for some time. The case of tomb world bombing coming back proved that at least there is hope that some stuff will come back - in the distant future.

I can confirm that the bug still exists in 2.7.2 and that this mod fixes it.

Hey, is this bug still present in 2.7.2?
OldEnt  [author] 24 May, 2020 @ 7:53am
It does, I made the patch before either Ariphaos made this fix or before me finding the Ariphaos patch. If you use Ariphaos Unofficial Patch you don't need this, unless you just want this specific bug fixed.

Does Ariphaos patch not fix this? It does make edits to the event.

I can confirm that the bug still persists in 2.7.1 and that this mod fixes it.

I haven't tested it yet, I wanted to make sure file is up to date for 2.7.1 before people start playing. I will test it today.

Is this still a problem? Im just gonna add it since its mod compatible and im already on mods so i dont have achievement problems.
