This is a true hidden gem. Absolutely love this. Thank you!

@MaDJaMeS
Because I use it as a backup in case of any loss.

Why does this mod have a .git repo connection?
Baka Racker 19 Oct, 2023 @ 7:32pm
I found a humorous interaction between this and "Wild Space 3 Patched", the lovely black hole graphic at the center of the galaxy is showing up as the "star" in the middle of wild space sectors. Not a big deal, but it did catch me by surprise the first time I jumped into some wild space!
kinngrimm 11 Jan, 2023 @ 10:12am
thanks for the offer :) if i'd take you up on that you'd be in the credits for sure
Darh  [author] 11 Jan, 2023 @ 9:59am
@kinngrimm
There is no option to make another similar Mod, I make my Mods so I can play Stellaris and I share them in case anyone is interested, but you can take what you need and make your own...
kinngrimm 11 Jan, 2023 @ 7:35am
Don't get me wrong it is a stunning graphical change. But from the playability, if i have to waste seconds over seconds till i might find a star at an possible location of a starlane, it is as you said mildly putting me into anxiety. I am in the situation of having at time 40 or more mods active and often i need to test things how or even if they work together, then having a mod that restricts visual feedback is counter intuitive to how i enjoy this game. But given there are people with different temprament i can see how someone might have this and maybe some realspace mod, scaled down ships and is just enjoying to be in awe about everything :)

Meanwhile i am loading for the 20th time the same save to find a better leaner more efficient aproach so that Grand Admiral doesnt kick me in the balls again ^^.

Any chance you would make a downgraded version just having a replacement for the center?
Darh  [author] 11 Jan, 2023 @ 4:39am
@kinngrimm
Yes, I have been told that this Mod causes anxiety and anxiety about the effects, but I like to feel that it is more or less like reality, we know that the stars are there but we don't really know what they are... on the other hand part everything that causes changes in definition cause the game to not be compatible with achievemant.
kinngrimm 11 Jan, 2023 @ 2:31am
I put this mod on a higher load order than "Quadrant Fixed", but it seems to still overwrite that mod which seems strange and may have rather to do with color settings of this mod and Quadrant Fixed not touching those at all. That and that i can't see the starlines to unexplored systems makes this a step too far for me. Otherwise the blackhole looks magnificent.
kinngrimm 11 Jan, 2023 @ 1:59am
What exactly about this mod makes it not achievmant compatible? It doesnt' change any game dynamics or mechanics, right?
Darh  [author] 12 Oct, 2022 @ 2:35pm
@chip
there is an update of this Mod in a couple of hours more
chip 12 Oct, 2022 @ 2:27pm
Would appreciate a 3.5 update!
R. Dark 28 Aug, 2022 @ 4:46pm
@Darh Ty so much! and I appreciate the tip!
Darh  [author] 28 Aug, 2022 @ 4:42pm
@Ripley Clarke
I'll see you in the stellaris update coming soon... meanwhile there's a trick; place a spy to the hostile empire and you can press in the view of the galaxy the icon of one of the Starbases close to the hostile empire that does not let you see its paths and all its paths will magically appear...
R. Dark 28 Aug, 2022 @ 4:22pm
@Darh Yes, in my brothers words "it makes no sense if you previously charted a hyperlane or knew that one led to another empire theres that they should disappear just because they close borders, the route still exists."

Thanks for the fast reply!
Darh  [author] 28 Aug, 2022 @ 4:09pm
@Ripley Clarke
Does it bother you that hostile empires hide their paths and don't show up on the map?
R. Dark 28 Aug, 2022 @ 4:03pm
can you make a version without the disappearing hyperlanes? This is not what the mod's main title includes and my friend group was trying to find out what happened to all the hyperlanes. I personally love this mod but it simply not playable like this. At least include an option to turn this option off. There are newer players to the game that this introduces an unnecessary extra step to the game

I can't seem to get the files in the workshop folder i have resubbed and everything nothing :/
Darh  [author] 19 Jun, 2022 @ 5:56pm
@Seleth
small????, hasn't changed at all in size... send a photo of what you see
[REDACTED] 19 Jun, 2022 @ 9:00am
Is it just me, or does the black hole at the center seem super small? Not sure if an update changed it or what but I swear it was never tiny.
T145 1 Jun, 2022 @ 11:25am
The only reason I ask is that there a lot of good features in this mod that are Ironman-compatible, but they get bogged down by minor core changes. If these features are compartmentalised into small mods then you should find upgrading and maintenance is simple. I'd say the "black hole jump" feature should be in its own mod for example. These are also not "black holes" but minor wormholes, so updating the naming convention may help. If you need assistance I'd be willing to pitch in!
Darh  [author] 1 Jun, 2022 @ 6:28am
@T145
It is possible! I am trying to make a menu for this and with new versions of black holes in the center, but due to lack of time this idea is delayed
T145 1 Jun, 2022 @ 1:16am
Would it be possible to make a version of this mod that's just the black hole at the centre of the galaxy?
zrjayman 22 May, 2022 @ 12:07pm
I updated today and took a quick look. That seems to be fixed. portrait 2 had elements of cyclops humanoid face. Portrait 06 had the blue face of 05. All seems well now though.
Darh  [author] 21 May, 2022 @ 2:40pm
@zrjayman
Hmm, do they look scarred?... try again
zrjayman 21 May, 2022 @ 1:53pm
I know this is going to be hard to accept, but this mod is somehow corrupting Humanoid portraits 02 and 06. I have tested turning various mods on and off to narrow it down. I'm not good enough to understand how this is happening. I'm not using any species mods, only UI mods.
Darh  [author] 16 May, 2022 @ 1:27pm
Test Update: Now it is possible to make empires with closed borders impossible to see their routes.
I will leave this test option to see if it is a good idea, it is possible that some players experience anxiety and frustration, however it may help memory and add a different dynamic to the game since there are interesting side effects
zrjayman 13 May, 2022 @ 10:24am
This mod needs an update. It is causing hyperlanes to not be visible.
Livnthedream 17 Dec, 2021 @ 2:23am
Yeah, putting it at the end fixes the shipset. Guess I'll just have to live without Jump Gates, thanks!
Darh  [author] 16 Dec, 2021 @ 5:56am
@Livnthedream
Take advantage of updating the shadows but the real problem is that you have to move the BlackHole Mod above other Mods that possibly have their shadows out of date, you can do the test by placing the Mod at the beginning in the list
Livnthedream 16 Dec, 2021 @ 12:37am
Well, this is my current installed mod list: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1194055375

Turning off Blackhole fixes it. I don't see anything in Irony Mod Manager that would cause the conflict directly, which is why I suspect it's something to do with the shader.
Darh  [author] 15 Dec, 2021 @ 4:46pm
@Livnthedream
curious ,, this does not happen to me ... maybe with the portal if it causes conflict ,, it is one or the other, but watercraft is a mystery ,, I will review the code on the weekend
Livnthedream 15 Dec, 2021 @ 2:33pm
Here you go: https://imgur.com/a/yft7r3H

It also conflicts with the updated Jump Gates: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2470880590

It removes the "structure" around the outside, and only the swirly portal shows up.

Hopefully that helps narrow down what you are overwriting.
Darh  [author] 15 Dec, 2021 @ 8:53am
@Livnthedream
can you send me a screenshot of the problem?
Livnthedream 15 Dec, 2021 @ 5:00am
Something this mod does to, I believe shaders, interferes with the Aquatic DLC shipset. None of the water bulb effects show. Those sections appear completely empty.
Suldar 19 Jul, 2021 @ 8:17pm
My bad. What I saw was in the beginning, it changes the name of your empire borders to the name of your homeplanet. But once you expand out and get more stuff I noticed it went back to being an Empire. Which from an RP perspective makes sense. So no biggie
Darh  [author] 16 Jul, 2021 @ 5:33pm
@Suldar
Can you send me a photo? .. I think that's a scare that I saw once a long time ago and it shouldn't be working yet but I want to be sure what you mean
Suldar 15 Jul, 2021 @ 4:41pm
I don't like that the mod changes the name you see in your empire borders tbh. Otherwise pretty cool.
Bluehawk 26 Nov, 2020 @ 10:11pm
@Darh Thanks! I'll check it out!
Darh  [author] 21 Nov, 2020 @ 12:49pm
@Bluehawk After some testing I don't see any problem for now with the Mod: "Gigastructural Engineering" as long as the Mod: "Black Hole" is immediately below Gigastructural Engineering in the Mod settings when starting. If you see any problem send me a photo to try to solve it as long as it is not another Mod that is causing the problem
WolF8RocK 12 Nov, 2020 @ 8:53am
It looks exciting, great job!
Bluehawk 1 Nov, 2020 @ 8:10pm
That's awesome! Appreciate the response. :D
Darh  [author] 1 Nov, 2020 @ 7:40pm
@Bluehawk We will talk to the Giga gentlemen later and we will try to do something together.
Bluehawk 1 Nov, 2020 @ 7:03pm
Are there any possible plans to make this more compatible with Gigastructures? Gigastructures has a feature that allows you to explore the galaxy's center, but with this mod it can make it difficult to see those systems once made available and manage them. This mod looks fantastic!
Darh  [author] 7 Jul, 2020 @ 2:25pm
@<#ff8800><i>Fu Manchu
at the beginning it had more effects, right up to the edge of the galaxy, but we had to reduce them to a minimum so that you can play with most of the hardware since it requires a lot of power. Restart and try the new size (smaller looks really bad)
Fu Manchu 7 Jul, 2020 @ 12:29pm
@Darh I think 20% would be perfect actually. And do you think it's possible to make this compatible with mods that alter the look of the galaxy, such as the pinwheel texture? Either way it'll look great
Darh  [author] 7 Jul, 2020 @ 12:07pm
@<#ff8800><i>Fu Manchu
..... yes, I had already talked about this ... how much do I decrease it? ,, 10% or 20% .... although it must be considered that when the entire galaxy is cleared it looks a little small
Fu Manchu 7 Jul, 2020 @ 11:43am
This visual mod looks fantastic but, can we get a version that decreases the size of the black hole? I feel like it's a bit too large, but that's just me.
Bojangles 18 Jun, 2020 @ 12:34pm
Hey this mod and event horizen offset facility both use the pdxmesh.shader file. I am not sure which one i should let override the other
