Heads up this mod throws up some XML extension errors with 1.6

I feel like the Mechanoid Tech traders could use a little bit of tuning. There's not much I can sell to them yet they carry enormous amounts of silver. They basically ONLY sell items from this mod (as well as the materials to make them), and those items are absurdly expensive. As it stands, it almost feels like a wasted trader whenever one randomly shows up.

Maybe it's just how I play though; I don't know. Maybe they'd feel better if they were bought more items (like insect jelly - almost everyone seems to want insect jelly) or were patched to buy/sell items from other mechanoid-related mods if those mods are present?

With them not being a invulnerable shield anymore, is there a way to get a UI element like shield belts?

@Inglix I managed to implement what you suggested; the shields will now disappear when they take enough hits, and will recharge after 60 seconds.

I realize these are quite hard to acquire, but once you do you're basically immune to ranged attackers since the shield can't be penetrated no matter how much weapons fire it takes. The AI isn't smart enough to know how to deal with it so they just find the closest cover and fire at it endlessly until they're eventually gunned down.

Still a cool mod though. Nicely done.

@Zical XML Extensions adds the function which allows you to customise how much power the shields use; look at the right side of the screen under the required DLC and you'll see the link to get it from the Steam Workshop.

@TadASkew As far as I know, you can safely add the mod to a saved game, as it merely adds new items for you to build (and new research).

it doesnt need an update, the update was designed for not breaking mods so this mod works just fine, dont worry :)

just wanted to ask if one of the new items could be used for it, take your time and explore the new version for yourself first :)

Did you actually use any Royalty code to make this mod? Or did you design the mod from scratch and just borrowed the lore?

if the shields can be deconstructed maybe you can make them have a chance to drop the techprint, since lore-wise techprints can be many things, main point being they give your researcher some ideas, so maybe they drop some mech-tech parts to analyze

@5katz: The mechanoid ones cannot be uninstalled, they can only be deconstructed.

would be nice if this needed the uninstalled version of the mechanoid one if possible, so you cannot build them without having ever had a mech shield on your map
