There is, but I don't know how. I think that could be accomplished with a re-texture of the base weapon skins. Or, a modder could create new weapons in the game and give them to them. I currently have no plans to do this myself, but someone else could.

I have a weird issue where enabling this without enabling ABA at the same time causes ADVENT Officers to become entirely weaponless. This is apparent as early as Gatecrasher.

this is an interesting idea. While I agree with Valvatorez that it would be nice if they were custom models, I understand thats a lot more effort. Very cool mod!

Yeah, to be honest I've actually done these config edits 5 times already for myself (between updates and reinstalling the game over the years). This time I wanted to put it on an actual mod so I never have to edit the files again. (such a pain!)

Just pretend that Advent engineers reverse engineered's XCOM's weapons (which are superior) and began replicating them for their forces.

Doesn't really make sense to give ADVENT XCOM weapons because all of them were designed by Lily or cobbled together by the factions. Better off giving them Call of Duty tier 1s, and their own magnetic and plasma weapons for tier 2 and 3.

I think the higher damage in mid to late game is not a side effect, but a good feature :)
