also, the chemlight is still visible which was not meant to be the case. now i have floating glowsticks all over my map. afraid to select them all at once and lower them in builder by 2-3ft.
Everything must be configured on the "client" side only. Server specifications are unrelated. Remember to set your "ambient occlusion" and "FXAA" to minimum for good performance.
Or we can use few of them at the same location?
Just to be clear, my lights are static objects meant for mapping, not for players to place ingame.
OFC you can do it, but unless you add the items into the types.xml then they will despawn.
You're supposed to use place my props in Community Offline Mod by Arkensor, then export the file with coordinates and load it into the init.c file.
This way the items will always be there, and reloaded at every server restart.
For us is working as usual, so I really don't know what can be...
we have an issue that the projector chemlights despawn but they respawn after the restart of the server is that normal? really nice mod by the way :)
Thank you :)
Ofc you can use the mod, just add it to you server AND clients. Use the assets from the mod (you can see the clasnames in the mod description above) in community offline mod to position the lights of you choice, save the file as you prefer and load it in the init.c
The lights will be always on, just invisible in daylight.
This looks like a cool MOD, Can i use these to light up my traders? Also can they be set up to load(and light up) when my server starts?
Yes, the mod must be on the server too.
add some lights in the COM and export/ inport my location witht he lights on my server. location is there but no lightings
Keep in mind that more than 5-6 lights in the same area may cause lightining issues, like flickering or performance loss (client and/or server). This is because of dayz engine, it doesn't like to handle many lights at the same time.
Also, the "beam" type light will spawn pointing down. If you use VPP Admin tools or anything like that you can then grab the light and position it.

@SnakeEye yes I want to add more colors for both chemights and spotlights. I will also add permanent torches and campfires later on.
