My guess with the issue is believe it or not, its the textures. You can fully see the outside of the mag but inside, its see through. Probably because there is never a scenario in insurgency in game where you would be able to see inside of the empty mag. Don't quote me on that, been a while since I played the game.

Thinking about seeing through the magazine, it could be the fact that the magazine itself could be big (which the fingers must've gone through the base of the magazine somehow).
