It seems fine to me... nothing is crashing at all so far...
Would definitely be really interesting seeing the research outpost in working order, and it could also be a nice change of pace gameplay-wise as I imagine most personnel would come armed to defend against the local wildlife

I know I may not have been able to express it properly within the limitations of a single comment so I will just ask: do you not know what I mean\am talking about?
Now I am not saying that you are one of them don't get me wrong here, I know your just saying what you think; however I have witnessed a lot of people screaming about and demanding that people ask their permission; and I have learned that it is not about politeness or courtesy; it is about control; and the whole thing is that honestly the courtesy part is crediting whomever: if only because we live in free and democratic societies and as a result have an opportunity to make and have free and open environments including but not limited to being able to share and use created content (including that made by the developers of the base game of course;), and it is so cool when that happens; just look at Garry's mod, people take stuff that other people have made and just credit them all the time: and any truly creative person should (and I have seen those who do) love that someone else has been able to use what they have created to create something new.
(I am not a legal expert.)
You do know that according to fair use copyright law so long as whomever does not try to take credit for or profit from "thing" that they may do with it what they like; do you not? I ask\say this if only to say that so long as fair use copyright law is abided by you nor anyone do not need any sort of "permission" to use something that is publicly available: why do you think people are able to use\modify the base games created by for profit companies in the first place without being shut down; or even successfully sued?..;)
