With the reduced fire settings, its causing fires to last forever

Does it affect games already launched?

Is there a away to just disable notification you receive after starting fire with Soothsayer in Apocalypse mode? This one: "The trees catch alight, creating an unstoppable fire that will rage across the landscape. Only you could have prevented this."
It gets really spammy as fire keeps spreading. I can't find option somewhere in game files. Thanks!

Good! The burning forests were an out-of-control variable ruining my game. Maybe it's because i'm a noob, but it was unfair, i say, unfair!:steamsad:

Thank you so much! Fires literally clutter up the notification system and are just going across the whole map. This mod is just the right thing

Could this mod possible make forest fires linger on forever? I had a rainforest fire start and then never end on my territory.

is it possible that this mod now prevents every disaster since the last barbarian patch?

I have done it: I have changed the file, but I still have fire ... about 50 years now my rainforest is burning!!!

Wow thanks for your speedy reply. I just found and was playing around with the GranColumbia_Mayaevents file but I think I'll just do this within your mod until I know what I'm doing. Thanks again. Also, I like your TSL lite earth map.

No problem. All mods downloaded from Steam are automatically stored in a folder, but they are identified by ID number instead of name. The default location on a typical Windows PC is:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\289070

Of course this could change depending on where you have Steam installed.

The folder name for this mod specifically is 2110219356

So once you've found the location, you need to open this file in a text editor:

RandomEvents_UserSettings.sql - change
('DISABLE_FIRES', 1) to ('DISABLE_FIRES', 0) to turn the fires back on. Reduced fire settings will be activated.

Further settings are found in RandomEvents.sql (another file in the mod folder) where you can configure the reduced fire settings. There are instructions in the comments of that file

Hi how do I enable the reduced fire settings? How do I get to the RandomEvents file? I tried to find it. I am new to mods so sorry if it's a dumb question. Thanks!!

Just confirming that this does in fact work, at least when I started a new game. If you check the climate screen, the fire chance should remain at zero percent for the whole game. I still need to check the reduced fire settings though.

Thank you. I tried to play a game as gran colombia on tsl and I couldn't settle south cause the fire would not stop
