Is it possible to toggle different options for different hats/helmets? For example, I only want marine helmets to show when the pawn is drafted, however I'd like cowboy hats to remain visible whenever the pawn isn't in bed.

I've now set the hats to be hidden when colonists are resting in bed. Now all colonists are shown in hats in colonists bar, and without hats in beds. Actually, what I wanted from this mod was to see colonists without hats in the colonists bar when they are in bed.

@Wejin1: I updated the mod so that "Hats shown only on game map" behaves as it should. I haven't been able to replicate the bug of colonists turning invisible on the colonist bar during caravans. Perhaps a conflict with another mod?

Hey, so I'm getting an error, my colonists on caravan turn invisible on the colonist bar when they have a hat on

Also, when I have the setting "Hats shown only on game map" selected, it does the opposite

But only when this mod is selected

I don't get it, this mod was doing fine previously and every addition seems to break it entirely

The messed up text in the settings box when in debug mode is because I've marked the settings for translation but haven't actually written any translation packs yet :P

Dev mode debug actions menu is broke with the latest update to this mod. I painfully went through my entire mod list to find this one has the issue. With only this mod & harmony enabled, I get the following error when clicking the Debug Actions Menu button...

Exception filling window for Verse.ImmediateWindow: System.TypeLoadException: Could not resolve type with token 0100001c (from typeref, class/assembly RimWorld.WeatherEvent_VacuumDamage, ShipsHaveInsides, Version=0.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null)

Disabling this mod and the error goes away.

If its still incompatible with show hair with hats, is it posible to maybe get an option to still show the hair even when a hat is equiped?

This mod has been updated to include a new feature: an override toggle that forces EVA headgear to appear when a pawn is exposed to the vacuum of space, and forces headgear that protects the wear form toxins when outside during a toxic fallout event

As this mod has evolved a lot from its initial begins, I've re-titled it 'Hide Hats When Not Needed'

I'm finding that since I started using this mod, hats seem to randomly disappear in the colonist bar. I'm guessing it's after they've been in bed or something, sometimes it will cause the hat in the colonist bar to disappear too. I am using a lot of mods so it could be some kind of conflict potentially. I'm not using any of the other mods that make changes to hats or hair, though.

corpses cause the devlog to go bananas and kill framerates, seems to be something with the pawn renderer. disabling for now.

Same thing is happeníing to me. Somehow i knew even without looking into dev logs, it's this mods fault for making corpses invisible.

Since today's update to this mod, my corpses have disappeared. Like, all corpses, animal, mechanoid, and human. Perhaps this is a conflict with another mod that I have... Anyone else seeing this?

I think that if you load 'Hide Hats While in Bed' after '[KV] Show Hair With Hats or Hide All Hats', everything should work as intended, but yes, it'll generate a some errors. I was hoping to get the two mods working together nicely so as to not worry people. Unfortunately my experiments have not had success just yet

show hair with hats is listed as incompatible, and when loaded together it throws an error, but ingame both intended features of the mods work just fine, so is the incompatability just the annoyance of the error or is my game blessed in some way that it works?

Hmm, I didn't think about hunting, and it would make for more consistent behaviours between colonists and non-colonists. I'm sold on the idea, I'll update the mod

Is this specific to the headgear or does it work as a global function? There's like 4 different mods that hide hats but all of them pretty much lack one or the other functions that others have.

I've updated this mod with a host of new configurations options. You are now able to specify when a pawn's head gear should be hidden. These options include
- When a pawn is resting in bed
- When a pawn is not drafted / not openly carrying a weapon
- Always hide a pawn's head gear
- Never hide a pawn's head gear (i.e., the normal game behaviour)

This can be configured separately for colonists and non-colonists (e.g., traders and raiders)
