It's probably possible but I haven't got an idea where to start tbh, haven't seen any where in the editor that would allow you to make a ring that imbues you with the traits of Undead for example.

If I knew how I'd give it a swing, but unfortunately outside my capacity.

You couldn't make something that gives u the undead tag (no bleeding, heal from poison, hurt from holy) on any race could you? As an option to choose at say the start by an item like this?

Yes, you do.
This was intended as a sort of catch-all for modded races that are treated similarly to how the Undead are, but do not spawn with a hood for whatever reason.

I believe it was originally requested and it was easy, so it was made.

Don't you already start the game with a hood when undead? I think I did.
