hey uh i dont know of its a portal 2 bug or not but when i tried loading your map i spawned in the elevator no portal gun and i only heard like 4 uh idk how to describe it and uh after 4 of i dont know hot to describe it noise it crashed my game but yet again it could still be a portal 2 bug

Definitely liking the fusion of Portal 2 sleekness with "frivolous" features. Makes the original test track feel more human compared to the sterile GladOS-designed chambers... I especially like how there's actually a rest area after the tests.

Liked the hammer work. You dont always get to see this many good looking clean test chambers. I hate that you are implying that aperture tag is canon in this universe.

I'm only keeping the story in tact. All the rest is up for change. Be it music choice, settings, puzzles, feeling. Self Esteem Fund was chosen since it's a calm track which I feel fits nicely as introductory music. Music won't be chosen based on name, but based on sound. The enrichment center is in a broken down state as GLaDOS has just woken up and began testing. She's still getting used to it, causing the center to be in a unprofessional, dilapidated state. Choosing broken panels to make her chambers, stuff exploding in the distance as seen in part two, things breaking down and falling on chamber roofs, etc. It's of course more in check than Wheatley's fiasco, but just not by a whole lot.

this is really good, i have afew criticisms but they really only apply for if you want a accurate recreation of the original portal, but if you want a completely new experience thats not trying to keep the original feel of portal 1 then just ignore me. 1, the chambers that are broken ish or show the behind the scenes areas i feel shouldnt be there, the chambers in the original just being the chambers with no behind the scenes areas showing (besides for ratman dens near the end of the game) kinda added to this feel that your alone, 2nd i wouldve saved the music track self esteem fund for later in the game as it doesnt really feel like it fits at the beginning. again, this only applies if you want to keep the original feel and experience intact.

Definitely an improvement from the first part.
- Make sure antlines follow the edges of tiles.
- Floating rails in the chamber 4 entrance room
- Cat walk does not align.
- The first two voicelines have no delay between them.
Loved it! Here's the playthrough (not sure why it didn't catch sound, but the sounds in the map are fine, besides the one I highlighted above.)

Ah, making a workshop map isn't really comparable to a mod, these guys are probably making custom sounds, music, textures, models... as well as redoing the entire escape section of the game. I do agree it's been a bit too long since the mod has put out any news, but they're leagues above me. Thanks though!
