if it's possible without redoing the whole thing yeah, I haven't had the time to really port stuff over unfortunately :/ dwarfs will be my 3rd IE playthrough

@Commiss4rDear author, many elite arms of this mod cannot be upgraded, such as dwarf elite catapult, Elite Hammer guard and other original arms, and many new arms of SFO cannot be upgraded. I hope you can update this very easy-to-use mod:steamthumbsup:

Yes, it's the dwarf grudge thrower. All the other RoR units can get the upgrades except that one.

uhh probably? but you'd only be able to pick one upgrade. i made mine focused on traits while Mase seems to have done more straight stat buffs and these tables should both be additions that don't overwrite each other

it does work with SFO (all my mods were built to) but won't have its units included, i am actually much busier with work during this pandemic so i'm not sure when i'll get to custom units :boycry:

Yeah, the submod needs to have a unit_purchasable_effect_sets_table that links your upgrade keys to the mod's main_unit keys.

Extending these upgrades to custom units is really easy, but requires a submod.

I just did that here for my Dawi Thunder mod:

i can double check if custom units are possible now but as of the Grom patch (when originally added) it wasn't

can you not buy any on the regular longbeards, or just not the same as the 2h? because that was intentional, i didnt want all units to have choices from all the runes, but rather 2 runes that further specialized what the unit could do.

re fire attacks: as long as it shows up on "weapon damage" on the unit card its calculated in combat. you may not see a verifiable difference unless you fight undead or trolls though

also how does the fury rune work with the fire attacks? i use the rune on my great weapon longbeards but honestly cant tell if fire weapons are actually being used, how can i tell?

I have a question regarding the rune upgrades. so far i have been using several runes with no problem, mainly runes of fury for my great weapon lonbeards, or marksman equipment, and they seem to be good, but i recently ran into a problem. when looking at another unit (regular longbeard) i noticed that half of the runes were not available to use. the ones im looking to use are the runes of iron and determination. when i look them up it just says i do not have the required resources. i dont know what im doing wrong, i have more than enough oathgold, i have massive amounts of trade goods, i have a runesmith in the party, it doesnt even say what i am missing so i could get it. any help?

Gyros and ROR now have upgrades! Trying something new out: one upgrade lets them be sniping flyers, and the other is defensive

@CommissarRotke Oh the greenskins as well as other upgrades mods for other races have upgrades for RoR units. So it's definitely possible. Good luck, keep up the good work.

it didn't look like vanilla allowed ROR to have upgrades, though I might let that slide here since Greenskins get a Waaagh and dwarves don't. Gyrocopters are next yea, so I can finish off the roster

True, the various renown units cant use their base variant upgrades (yet) I'm sure the creator will get that working later on.

On another note, I noticed that the gyros dont have upgrades yet. Would deffo think you'd want various trade-offs. Like more bombing ability for reduced speed (more power needed to stay aloft). Or more ranged dmg for lower refire rate. Stuff like that. Basically enhance something of a unit in exchange for reducing a different stat of it.

Miners with blasting charges, would LOVE to see them with a little more ammo for example :D

it's for testing purposes, but yeah i think i will increase them now since I know all the current upgrades are working

would definitely recommend increasing the costs of the scrapups. Right now it's really easy to get tons of oathgold. Personally I think 10 for basic warriors (and equiv units) 15/20 for longbeards/rangers and like 30odd somethig for the top tier units would be better. You should have to make a choice between spending the oathgold for different units.

Right now it's just, Ah, new units? Here everyone have upgrades.

Doesn't take away that I love the mod :)
