i would say drop the shoulder pads and make the default color be the same color as the scout's shirt, rather than brown. this way, the hoodie parts will blend better, and it will also be more attractive to buy if you don't plan on painting it.

The elbow pads are too dark and look odd painted.
You could sample the colours from scouts trousers so it looks more natural.
