Great mod. Later in the campaign you get whole clusters of codexes on commander difficulty and getting spammed with reload vortexes gets old real fast.

Great changes. I like the new gun too. It was weird how a digital projection uses a normal plasma rifle.

Just finished a campaign with about 280 mods, this one included, and had no major issues! Thanks for putting this up, this felt so much better than vanilla.

@Charlemagne Very late, but this mod doesn't seem to change the Codex's .bIsPsionic value to false, so I'd guess yes.

If the Psi bomb no longer disables weapons, does the codex still get damaged if you have the Feedback perk?

@Valvatorez You might be able to fix that by adding a second line after the model replacement that tells it to grab animations from the XCOM Beam Rifle, though I can't guarantee the sounds and projectile animations will carry over.

If you make the Hard Light Gun replace a weapon in the Skin Replacer. Soldiers equipped with it will have Codex animations.

Can you add that gun skin as a standalone mod? Because it's really sweet (and I'm already running mods that alter codex abilities and stats, so I can't use this mod)

codex can get annoying if you have a bunch of modded enemies. especially if they disable your weapons of the entire squad while fighting a chosen or worse an alien ruler.

So for me this just makes them more annoying
Their weapon disables my weapon AND FOR SOME UNGODLY REASON their psionic bomb STILL disables my weapon, which is the part I fucking hate about them

Overwatch is also very useful against those, tbh the further you get the less problems you have with them, once you know how to overwatch efficiantly.

You don't have to mod them. How to fight them and neutralize them? Simple, flash bang disables their teleport ability. So open with flash and they're dead.

This mod is cool, love the new gun. But having the bubble not disable weapons is too huge of a nerf, imo.
I'd love to have that as a config setting. Ah well.

Finally, a reason to not delay the Skulljack objective. Thank you! Would also be nice to get an XCOM variant of their weapon but that's another matter entirely.

Actually it is not dangerous! we have reloads
free actions weapon
with wotc it self-destructs itself, bomb attack is psionic
the templar faction returns psi damage to the source , more soldiers are hit , more damage are back .

what else? he ignores the advents crews which are disarmed ^^

So does Psi Bomb do damage on activation? or is it like Blazing Pinions as a "annoyance" ability that forces you to move.
