It seems to make me lag when I convert my ship from light to heavy, I wonder why..

it seems that the mod is destroying some blocks instead of replacing them. is it a me problem or is it common?

I am currently on a server that has each one additional light and heavy armor block
Any chance to get a version that would work with modded armor blocks to update quickly existing blueprints?

@Carter Elnarr I am not the Author, but you might be missing the chat command to get it active? Just hit the "Enter" key and the chat line will pop up, then type "/replacer" (without the "") and hit enter again. The first time you do that it should activate. Do it again to turn it off. Once you have activated it, take out your welder and point at any of the standard blocks. Purple will mean the block is Heavy armor, green means light armor. If you scroll the mouse wheel forward it will cause it to target multiple blocks at once, scroll the mouse wheel backwards and it will go back to a single target.

If you've already done all this I don't know what to say. Sorry I can't help more then this.

Just wanted to thank you for making this mod! I'm new to Space Engineers and just really learning the effects and differences (besides the obvious ones) of heavy armor vrs light armor. I made a very large "Mother Ship" originally all out of heavy armor. It came in about 99.87 kt - just a bit heavy. Moved okish after adding some 300 gyros. Anyway, using your mod I changed it all over to light armor which brought it down to 31.01 kt and moves much easier. I have 60 jump drives in it and when it was all heavy it's jump distance was about 1100 k, now it can jump 2886 k.

Still learning, but having a great time. Thanks again for this great and very useful mod. (I really like that you can scroll the mouse wheel and have it select from one to N blocks to change. Saves a massive amount of time.)

This mod saved my entire vanilla creation.
100% works... exactly like it says...

If you put your ship to light armor, and then put it into atmosphere, and then slowly change your ship to heavy, and dampen to it, you can easily use this mod to weigh your ships easily.

I used it to convert my heavy armor ship to light, since it was to heavy thank you so much for making this.

Not sure if you're still updating but if you are, do you think you could do a line-of-sight command so only exterior armor gets replaced?

Thank you, hadn't thought of that. However I want to replicate a ship's systems so that I can build a different superstructure around them. A projection can't help me with that - unless it can be interfered with in some way? Thank you again for responding and Merry Christmas.

Would it be possible to add a function perhaps to the grinder to where it will have an effect to the armor to turn it into unfinished blocks like in survival when you place the block and have to weld it, it would be a very helpful function

@Klime Great mod, very useful. Could it be adapted to remove armour blocks? Would be useful in being able to look at ship's systems. At the moment removing armour blocks by hand is very laborious.

Klime, would it be possible to get a version that handles conversion from light and heavy to Tritanium armor from the Star Trek mod Q made? Me and a friend tried to modify the code to handle it but we can't get it to work.

@hunterwms The Nanobot mod will grind any not owned or enemy blocks if set to do so as you may know, but it WILL NOT grind ANY blocks you own. I have tried with zero success. My theory is that this mod MAY not respect block ownership exactly, which may cause the nanobot mod to grind any replaced armor blocks. You might want to disable the grind feature temporarily until you can reset ownership of the grid. Just ctrl+a everything and set to nobody then back to you (me).

It's also possible that it's some kinda glitch with nanobot and not this mod, but thats mostly speculation.

I really like this mod, but it seems to conflict with the Nanobot mod. When using this replacement block, sometimes Nanobot will remove all the armor that was replaced (this occurs approximately 20% of the time, and the more replacement blocks used, the higher the chance of it happening. this seems to be the kind of mod that should be in vanilla, but as it isn't many thanks to provide us with this functionality. Just like the undo(ctrl+z) or the block picker (ctrl+g) this is an essential builders tool.
