I did some research into Middle-Egyptian syntax and found a dictionary of words. From there, I did my best to piece together words correctly. :steamthumbsup:

Very cool! I’m looking to create a “mother tongue” mod for all unit names as well as some abilities.

Where did you find a Middle-Egyptian translator? Have you studied hieroglyphics? Thank you!

"After looking at High Nehekharan, it takes influence from Ancient Egyptian languages, a little from Arabic too, by the looks of it. As such, I’ve taken Middle Egyptian and put a light twist on it. My biggest alteration is the plural “w” (most likely pronounced ‘ew’ or ‘aw’) which suffixes words, replaced instead with ‘yeh’."

The Tomb Kings are great indeed.

Yes, this is save game compatible. You can turn it on/off as you please. Although sometimes, especially when you're merged, you might need to capture a settlement, or pass a turn, for the correct name to get set.

Hi there, Kreáon! I'm very grateful for the supportive words. It's true that I've been away from modding for a while now, having other things to attend and growing interests in other games and so forth. However, yes, whatever the 'normal' mod will get, so too shall this one. I did update it late December with the new factions, translating the Lizardmen and what not. I also added the dilemmas for the Empire, Chaos & Beastmen too. Mother Tongue will not go untouched nor unnoticed. I'll continue to update it. Again, thank you for the morale boost. I'm pleased that this mod pleases. :praisesun::bonfire2:

I know that this mod does not have the recognition it deserves considering the amount of effort and work into it but will you be continuing to support it in the future? I very much prefer this over the other "rename mod". Such amazing work! It adds so much to the game with little things like this. :Dominated:

Update's out! The Alliance Condition is officially gone. I have kept another bit of script in still so that names will return to from their ally names in current saves.

Keeping in this other bit of script means that faction names will revert to their base mod names if all other CNCs are not met—would you like this removed in the coming days, after most saves have changed back, or is this a liked feature?
