If there's a mod I'd say changes gameplay the most for me I'd say it's AA's New Weapon Range Tables. Coupled with reccomended increase to cover values it feels like a new game - when I recently had to switch it off to try LWotC for a second I found myself shocked at ranges Advent could snipe me from.
...oh and Weapon Skin Replacer + TLP weapon skins are a must, because normal plasma is *awful*, and TLP magnetics are still a notch above vanilla mangetic, even if the latter is nice enough.
If you want to test this quickly by the way, Hunterkillers can be spawned by using "DropUnit ABAChryssalidM4 1" console command - just load up gatecrasher, use that, and you'll have one to check if any changes you made worked :)
As for leftover enemies from pre-WOTC ABA2 I did take a look at them, and I can see why DerBK cut them - they just don't seem to fulfill much purpose compared to what already is in ABA and other enemy mods. To be perfectly honest even Abomination is kind of a weak choice gameplay wise, as it fits nearly the same role as Chryssalid King does. I just found idea of a building-sized bug too amusing to pass up.
i have enough nightmare roach hunting my units after i downloaded the hive mod and its extension but i guess one more wouldn't hurt
And I assume this drops a Chryssalid corpse?
And does the Hive mod work with ABA?
