Must have been an error. It was saying the mod was hidden or had been removed. Its working now.

@anarky

No. Don't you find it? Click in the picture link on this page

Has the ultimate lighting mod been removed from the workshop?
GDI 27 Dec, 2020 @ 5:08am
Still works?
Two.Tech 30 Nov, 2020 @ 10:55am
@Mazisky

Ah man, thanks for doing that. You're a legend! I just tested it out and it's still working great. Cheers!
Mazisky  [author] 30 Nov, 2020 @ 7:46am
@TwoTech

That's really odd.

However, I've updated this mod just so you can enjoy the updated version, but if it doesn't work out let me know so I can revert back to previous version.
Two.Tech 29 Nov, 2020 @ 2:34pm
Hey Mazisky, love the mod. Unfortunately, the ultimate lighting mod doesn't work on my computer (tried it w/ all other mods disabled). This one works perfectly though. I'm playing on mac, so that could be a factor. Anyway, I really appreciate you leaving this version up!
Danny 20 Sep, 2020 @ 4:49pm
@Mazisky, thanks for responding, will get the other one then!
Mazisky  [author] 20 Sep, 2020 @ 12:08pm
@Danny

It's useless to keep using this because they are the same, literally identical, with the only difference that the other will be updated.
Danny 20 Sep, 2020 @ 9:32am
Does this mod work still after being "Obsolete"? I liked that this one feels like it doesnt take much more performance to run compared to having night battles with the other one.
† Bayonetta † 16 Sep, 2020 @ 1:02pm
To be honest i dont why wheater and day cycle isnt in game already, there could be tone of mechanics around it. For example at daylight undead have lower stats while at night they are on blood hunt
Mazisky  [author] 14 Sep, 2020 @ 1:10pm
@Taste of Capitalism

In the next update i will remove it because it's pointless anyway on this mod, actually GCCM maps are not randomized in the current version, and they will if i disable that feature.
Taste of Capitalism 14 Sep, 2020 @ 6:16am
could you make non GCCM version? I know it isn't really big problem but I sometimes miss choose map and game stops which is a bit uncomfortable
Mazisky  [author] 14 Sep, 2020 @ 5:46am
@Taste of Capitalism

It's in the description

Important: If you don't have GCCM installed, in custom battle panel you will find blank spaces which are the GCCM maps you don't have. Just ignore those and scroll down to find the normal maps.

Taste of Capitalism 14 Sep, 2020 @ 5:24am
currently in custom battle, broken map data apear

This mod is like a morning blowjob from a girl, you never get tired of it.
Mazisky  [author] 8 Sep, 2020 @ 10:32am
@Deichmann

Bretonnia has 5 chance of weather, only one of them is night, so it's 1 out of 5. Unless you consider "sunset" or "rain" to be night cause they are darker than day.
Bretonnia night is kinda blueish.

Vampire, on the opposite, has mostly night, rain or moody weather.

You can tell you are playing on vampire area by the look of the night: if it's greenish or it has a light snow falling than it's definitely vampire, so it means you are in a battle within vampire region or corruption, and you won't find that many frequent nights in every other place.
Deichmann 8 Sep, 2020 @ 10:16am
@mazisky

Well it has become very noticable playing as Bastonne. (as Bohemond Beastslayer with Mixu's unlocker) A stone's throw away from Kemmler, so that may be why.

Even still, I think night battles are generally not very fun to play in because of low light levels.The map 'Eschen' still feels dark enough without taking too much away from visibility.
Mazisky  [author] 8 Sep, 2020 @ 10:06am
@otisjasmodeus

Yes

@Deichmann

Daytime is set to happen more than night, unless you play Vampire or on Vampire areas.

Which faction are you playing and in what region you find too many night battles?
Deichmann 8 Sep, 2020 @ 9:04am
Is it possible to disable night battles? I otherwise like your mod, but night battles occur to frequently for my tastes.
Invicta 8 Sep, 2020 @ 9:00am
can this be activated mid campaign?
Hazard 2 Sep, 2020 @ 1:57pm
@Mazisky from my understanding WH3 is going to be using Troys engine and seeing that Troy has the two moons texture in its files and that game has great visuals i think we will see them in WH3 :D and if you look at Mixus LL2 mod there is way to fix a weather to a character via a fog type mechanic.

@Neferte13 there is probably to change the weather via using the UI modding tool but that is beyond my knowledge and also connecting all the pieces together just to form it is alot of work and the way WH2 environment are set up in the pack files also make it alsmot impossible to do without having to rewrite all them and putting them in specific folders within the mod. lets see what WH3 brings :D
Mazisky  [author] 2 Sep, 2020 @ 5:07am
@Neferata13

There are plenty of opportunities to improve weather and gameplay from Creative Assembly, the engine already support all that stuff so it's all on their will.
We waited 4 years for Warhammer 3, so they have no excuses to add those things, expecially when other Total war games (same engine) already have them.
Ciaphas Cain 2 Sep, 2020 @ 3:30am
Ah didn't know that was a feature in 3K! (I don't own it yet)
That's pretty good, especially those playing VC but don't want the night battles (although that's been modded now)

I like the idea of raining battles, especially for Bretonnians (not sure why lol) I think it's the idea of slogging it out in muddy fields - virtually slowing everything down, even though terrain hasn't been made like that on here yet other than marsh / hill.
Mazisky  [author] 2 Sep, 2020 @ 2:19am
@Neferata13

I think it's technically possible but I am not able to do it sorry, it goes beyond my knowledge.

My hope is that with Warhammer 3 they will use the same system as TW: 3kingdoms where you can select weather and time of day.
Ciaphas Cain 31 Aug, 2020 @ 4:16am
Yeah that would be good, BUT it would be great if we could select the weather type we want on turn 1 using Mod Configuration tool, rather than having a rain/snow mod. Does it have to be 1 thing or the other or can the mod be coded to allow players to be able to select what they want?
Mazisky  [author] 30 Aug, 2020 @ 12:35am
@Neferata13

I don't understand, do you mean you want all battles to be rain or snow?
Ciaphas Cain 29 Aug, 2020 @ 4:04pm
Is it possible to select a type of weather in the mod config to set it up to have 1 constant weather effect every time? I love rain battles, or heavy snow storm battles so would like to select that instead!
Teo,Skrn 25 Aug, 2020 @ 4:36pm
Understood, thanks.
Mazisky  [author] 25 Aug, 2020 @ 10:35am
@Psycose74 @TeoSkrn

It is not possible to make random weather in the campaign map.

What i mean in the description is BATTLES during the campaign, along with custom battles.
Teo,Skrn 25 Aug, 2020 @ 9:40am
The introduction says that this works on campaign, but the comment say otherwise... I still hadn't a chance to test it in a campaign properly, does it work?
Psycose74 22 Aug, 2020 @ 12:10pm
We want it for campaing mode !
Nice job
Shiny Boots 20 Aug, 2020 @ 8:17am
"Desert and Jungle maps don't get snow,"

I don't know if this was mentioned, but some temperate deserts that occasionally get rain during the day can get snow at night.

I don't if you can make it exclusive to provinces in the northern desert but I wouldn't nitpick light snow in the middle of Warhammer's Sahara.
Mazisky  [author] 18 Aug, 2020 @ 1:08am
@Dinovart

Keep in mind that Total War: 3 Kingdoms already had that, so considering that every game after Warhammer 2 have weather and cycle, Warhammer 3 will probably have it too. Let's hope
dinovart 17 Aug, 2020 @ 5:33am
Total war: troy features campaign map day/night cycle and a few weather settings for each map (day/night, if day - dry, rain, fog). So, these mods actually impacted on total war series.
Europig 16 Aug, 2020 @ 10:49am
very cool :steamhappy:
Araldur 15 Aug, 2020 @ 4:34am
We want it for campaing mode¡
Nice job
Mazisky  [author] 7 Aug, 2020 @ 4:18am
@Willie Trombone

This looks like the skybox wasn't loaded. It may be a typo in the lighting file. Can you tell me if that was a custom battle or during campaign? if the latter, which area it was?
Mazisky  [author] 5 Aug, 2020 @ 5:34am
@wreth

I've checked and Vampire and Vcoast audio (they share the same sounds) are set to be only on their cities and some "vampire" maps such as marbad tomb, exavation site, etc.
Wreth 5 Aug, 2020 @ 4:52am
I'm not sure 100% sure it's this mod but I seem to get vampire count city sound effects in empire cities when it's raining.
Nexus 31 Jul, 2020 @ 7:43am
Thank you :) Than i will try it and i hope this Mod will include into your other Mod :)
I would love to use both of them but like you said, it didnt work together.
Mazisky  [author] 31 Jul, 2020 @ 12:08am
@Nexus

No, snow can only happen where it makes sense: Empire, Sylvania, Bretonnia , Dwarfs and Chaos territories.

No snow in desert, jungle or wasteland.

It is compatible with SFO and Dryrains
Nexus 30 Jul, 2020 @ 4:26pm
Means that, the Wasteland for example where the Orks live get also Snow ?
And is this SFO Compatible in combination with Dryans Reskin mod ?
Mazisky  [author] 28 Jul, 2020 @ 12:57am
@The1greenyoshi

Nope, it's only visual.

@ere4s3r

Thank you mate :)
eRe4s3r 27 Jul, 2020 @ 8:00pm
This is and remains the best visual mod I have ever seen for the game. Before you made this I had no idea I needed it, but now I can't imagine playing without it. It does look absolutely fantastic and with the right reshade settings even downright beautiful. If I could upvote it twice I would ;P
The1GreenYoshi 26 Jul, 2020 @ 4:12pm
Do the weather effects stats?
Moogle 21 Jul, 2020 @ 1:52pm
I thought so, okay cool buddy thanks for the info

True glory lies in reshaders though comrade, but still thanks for your amazing work! :D This mod should be in base its one of those little things that adds a ton
Mazisky  [author] 21 Jul, 2020 @ 1:17pm
@Soviet Union 4U

Reshades should work with any mods, since they are a different thing.

However, consider that this mod tunes lighting and colors, so if you use reshade only for those things it's pretty much redundant.
Moogle 21 Jul, 2020 @ 9:04am
I wouldn't have any issues running this with a reshader would I? Matthew's Reshade Preset for example? I'll give it a shot anyways, should be pretty.. or an abomination.. We'll see
Greenjam 14 Jul, 2020 @ 5:52am
@Hazard You answered what I was wondering. Ty.
