Offhand, you'd have to se them as a Biotic class, then force them to also have the Psi Gift and psi operative subclass. I don't know off the top of my head what console commands you'd use but it's doable

Is there any way to make a soldier both biotic and psionic?

I managed to get this to work with LWOTC + Mod Jam, but I had to copy the content of XComLatentPsionics.ini from this mode into the same file in Mod Jam's config folder. And every time I restart the game I must check if an update of Mod Jam deleted those changes.

Also, does anyone know if it is possible to make Biotic soldiers use the normal psiamp instead of the Biotic one ?

I should have been more specific, sorry. What I mean is that some soldiers will become biotic, for sure, but will revert back to psionic soldiers after one level in the psionics lab.

It is intended that half of the psionic soldiers become biotics and the rest get the normal psi skill tree, that is not a conflict.

Using LWOTC W/ Mod Jam: This class mod seems to work, but only half the time. I guess it is a load order issue, unfortunately, I don't know how to modify that in the Alternative Mod Launcher

[Using LWOTC with Mod jam] This mod appears to not work at all(Tested with over 8 attempts)
It also doesn't say that it outright disables the class from spawning normally.

For those in my predicament: Go to this mods folder and change "NumInForcedDeck" to 4. Will allow it to appear in the GTS. You might need to also add in that same command in the original mod aswell, Since it's normally not trainable in the GTS.

No chance with this mod. There's no facility in the base game for psionic subclasses, and I don't think there's another mod that adds them.

What about using this without Psionics Overhaul V3? I know it's there in the required items section, but I really don't want to use that and would rather biotics just be a 50/50 with psionics using the base system. Unless there's another mod for that?

@SuperDigga - This adds an extra class psions can be. So some psions will be Psi Operatives and others will be Biotics. And yes, this mod is simply a collection of ini changes, so you can add it mid game (even after already training some psi operatives).

The Psi Overhaul and RPGO plugins don't interact with each other in any way. They don't depend on each other or disable each other. If you wanted to you could run them both and you'd have biotic RPGO soldiers and biotic Psions. Same goes for Chaplin.

Probably not that hard, the extended psionics addon does it. That should make a nice template for how to modify biotics.

Worth asking I suppose, but is there a way to disable the default tree so the biotic tree is all that gets selected?

@Krathemor - It's randomly determined, so a unit could be either a Biotic or a Psion.

So how does this work? When the Psi lab is built do soldiers have a chance to be either Psionics from the overhaul or Biotics? Is there a way to configure it to have soldiers randomly roll one or the other, or does this just make all psi gifted soldiers into Biotics?

@Dies Irea - No, the regular psiamp and the psion-gauntlets from Psionic Melee are both configured with the necessary damage tags to make Biotics work.
