@Inaphyt - It might just be her AI is smart, like Cerberus. But generally the Terminus do so-so in my games, my last one they got killed by the Volus and the Krogans for example.

Also the Volus have a better gold start, and the Protheans have the same Production. Plus others, like the Salarians, have better Science.

Generally them doing consistently good in your games will just be luck.

Just me or is the AI godlike with this civ, every game i played against them they seem to do twice as good as every other Ai and on emperor getting my ass kicked twice that 2 production 4 gold start gives them a real strong early.

Thanks a lot for the mods. They're awesome.

I would just like to note, so you are aware: These mods? These are the reason I own this game. I didn't give a DAMN about Civ until I saw these. At which point my thoughts were basically 'Free form Mass Effect civlization sim? HELL YES!'

HOORAY FOR CANONICAL LEADERS!

@Mobile - No problem, happy to help.

"If you select the UIAddin first then if wont let you select the LUA for some reason."

That.... you fixed my mod! YAAAHOOOO! I wasn't adding it right the first time, thanks a ton, man, you're the best.
Pluvia  [author] 31 Mar, 2014 @ 8:19pm
@Mobile - I think you can select the LUA before you select the InGameUIAddin.

If you select the UIAddin first then if wont let you select the LUA for some reason.
Viciousbunny 31 Mar, 2014 @ 7:55pm
I appreciate you letting me use your code, if I ever get this thing running I'll be sure to give you thanks.

But I'm really not sure where I went wrong at this point though. Although, it's unsettling to me that my lua file is not listed when selecting it for InGameUIAddin, I can type it in manually and it builds fine, but it doesn't seem to do the trick. Might take a fresh look at it in a few days. Thanks again for your patience, and in the mean time I've got a game as the Batarians to win!
Pluvia  [author] 31 Mar, 2014 @ 7:06pm
@Mobile - It's to make it invisible. If you check both the files in the XML Buildings folder you'll see I created a new building class and added it's effects.

Anyway you said it's intimidating, but you can literally just copy paste those 4 files if you want. All you would need to do is make the DummyBuildingIsVisibleSet.sql refer to your building instead.

Also it depends on what you're making your mod for. The LUA in the G&K and BNW packs are different, so whichever version of the game you're making it for remember to use the correct LUA files. Also don't forget to OnModActivate everything in the correct order, like I said in the comment below.
Viciousbunny 31 Mar, 2014 @ 3:41pm
Okay, "CityView and CivilopediaScreen" LUA files as well as SQL are rather intimidating for me as a beginner in this, are those only necessary to make the building "invisible"? Or are they needed to make the building even be added at all?

And thanks again for helping me with this!
Pluvia  [author] 30 Mar, 2014 @ 11:18pm
@Mobile - Thanks. Anyway I only set the two LUA in the Dummy Building Folder, CityView and CivilopediaScreen, in the VFS to true, whereas the one in the LUA folder I added to InGameUIAddin.

Also remember the SQL that's in the Dummy Building Folder has to be OnModActivated in a certain order. The DummyBuildingTables.sql has to be activated BEFORE the buildings XML, and the DummyBuildingsIsVisibleSet.sql has to be activated AFTER the buildings xmls.

Pluvia, I'm a big fan of the creativity of your mods and I've been exploring making mods of my own, but I've ran into a problem I've been stuck on for days, and I would very much appreciate your help. LUA tutorials and help on the internet appears to be practically non-existent, but I've managed to created a trait using a technique you've used for civs like the Protheans and the Collectors where a building is added to a captured city. However the LUA doesn't run, can you tell me if you added your LUA to InGameUIAddin and/or set VFS to true? Can't seem to get it working, and I'm sure you've been through the headache too, thanks.

Pluvia  [author] 13 Jan, 2014 @ 11:59pm
@Giffica - I'm not sure if I have the time, I'm not modding for a month I'm taking a holiday, but civfanatics and the mod creator will be happy to help you I'm sure.

@Shirley - There's a lot more plans, there's a to-do list at the top of the collection page in the description.
[WL] Homura Akemi 13 Jan, 2014 @ 8:51pm
Fantastic mods, been following since the first Mass Effect mod you made. So what now? Any big plans in the near future?
Giffica 11 Jan, 2014 @ 4:04pm
Yeh, as I said, mod retarded so I don't know how to set the civs :P i know the map you play on, it's what I play on pretty much exclusively. Any way you can upload to a site and just link me the file :P

Also, thanks for the BNW, I'll check it out.

And I apprecaite the hard work, this is one of the best collections of mods out there.
Startracker 11 Jan, 2014 @ 10:20am
Dear Pluvia, as always, you rock !:D:
Pluvia  [author] 11 Jan, 2014 @ 7:28am
@Giffica - Also the BNW versions of the Mass Effect civs have already been released .
Pluvia  [author] 11 Jan, 2014 @ 7:25am
@Giffica - I play on a modified version of this map . I don't think I can upload it because it's not my mod, I only adjusted a few things on it with the WorldBuilder. Basically I removed the ice between Russia and Alaska, removed some ice around Greenland and made it have grass, forrests, rivers and hills instead of snow, and added in a landmass, connected by thin coast tiles to make it hard to reach, to represent Atlantis (to connect Afria and Europe to the Americas). You can only play modded civs on this map if you go into your mods folder and manually add them into the XML, which you can do by opening the CivilizationsStartPos file with Notepad and using the WorldBuilder to find the exact plot points.
Giffica 11 Jan, 2014 @ 6:56am
Could you upload your map you play on? That would be my prefered start, but I am an absolutel moron and have zero idea how to mod, so I don't know how to manually add anything.

Also, if you were to pass that map off (if you wanted) would it work when you upload the BNW versions? (I intend to wait to try these civs again until the BNW version is out, since that is what I play on)
Pluvia  [author] 11 Jan, 2014 @ 6:54am
@Giffica - It's possible that I'll release a map for these, but the planning and research needed for that will mean it wont be easy. There's also higher priorities at the moment, which is city-states and the 2 new luxury resources.

Until then I mainly play these on the YNAEM, as I manually added starting positions for them.
Giffica 11 Jan, 2014 @ 6:45am
Pluvia, I appreciate these civs very much, but without a proper map it seems to lack an accurate way to play. Is there some way you recomend playing this, or could you/will you/do you intend to make a map specific to play this?
Pluvia  [author] 11 Jan, 2014 @ 4:31am
Not enough ratings? Give poor Aria some love people.
dragonheck 10 Jan, 2014 @ 11:30pm
ill wait until terminus gets the latest update but then im cracking open the dusty files of civ now that you have updated again
Pluvia  [author] 10 Jan, 2014 @ 11:55am
@Napalm Knight - Within 24 hours.
Skitariio 10 Jan, 2014 @ 11:51am
Do you have any idea when the BNW version is likely to come out?
El Jeffé ttv 8 Jan, 2014 @ 7:59pm
Sweet!!!!
Deuterium Dawn 7 Jan, 2014 @ 1:19pm
Thanks for all the work you've done, these are awesome mods. If you do intend to continue working on it at some point, one thing I might suggest is a map designed to handle them all, as most maps get kind of crowded with 18 and now 19 civs.
YourCrazyDolphin 7 Jan, 2014 @ 12:24pm
Only a suggestion, currently in my game I am literally just farming them, and they were meant to be a issue, not a money resource.
YourCrazyDolphin 7 Jan, 2014 @ 12:23pm
New, stronger barbarian units?
There are creatures in the M.E universe that are important and powerful(Such as the Thresher maws). Think it would make later game barbarians less being just there, to actually being something to worry about. But, they disappear late game if you play with maximum civs for the map size.
Pluvia  [author] 7 Jan, 2014 @ 9:37am
So, here they are, better late than never. Look out for the BNW version of them (which will be released soon), which has a slightly different trait.

Despite having all the civs out now this project still has more to come. City-states based on various mercenary gangs and organisations (which will make Omega's trait look even more Mass Effecty) and new luxury resources, among other things. Unfortunately though I'm taking a break for about a month, so I can sit down and enjoy this collection, as it's almost impossible to play matches during the modding process. I'll still be here to answer questions, but the only updates will be bug fixes (and hopefully there wont be any of those). So, until February at least, don't expect any new releases.

Anyway, hope you enjoy the Terminus Systems. :)
