As long as the mod doesn't exclusively use this file (like AP enhanced does) that might not be a huge issue, so if the game seems to be fine you're probably good regardless. It's mostly smaller or specific values in that file, most mods shouldn't need it.
If you have any mods that edit AP in any capacity, or other things that have a specific number change (summon limits, source points, etc) where they normally have a definite maximum value, those mods may be clashing with this mod.
a) summon limit
b) AP settings (similar to this)
or c) use the gift bag mod from Larian that improves AP?
Off the top of my head all of those can be responsible for issues.
Try this one here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1523588584&searchtext=overlord
And then go to page 3 comments, I listed a solution to overlord bugging with at least one of my mods there.
As for the Larian stuff, in short because Larian mods are specifically enabled in the game itself, so they'll always get added to the load order after everything else, so they'll always take priority over anything messing with the same files.
the only real fixes for that are:
a) Don't use conflicting files i.e my AP and larian AP
or b) me find a way to rewrite all my AP mods, which to be honest, I don't know how to do nor really have the time of late.
+ It'd be clunkier than this, as if Larian is using edits in the same file we can probably conclude its one of the cleanest ways to do so.
That gift bag mod will always override any of my AP mods, as they all edit the same file, but the Larian one explicitly loads during the game, so it will always take priority and thus delete my changes.
Thanks for the mod
In future if you check to the right of the image on the mod page it'll say the game version the mod is for there in a small info box
So it'd overwrite this, or any other mod that edits max/gained/start AP values.
Don't think there's anything I can do to prevent that occurring sadly.
also it doesn't affect friendly summons.
FY,I The mod doesn't work if you enabled 8 max ap Gift bag
Also 200+ subs and no-one complaining at a significant difficulty spike (there are more enemies than players in most fights, so they'd get more advantage from this mod otherwise)
Its available in my mod collection or you can just search the workshop for that name.
It always baffled me that, narratively you supposed to be this dangerous and powerful source mage, but you never felt like one. Now i can
As for the changes, i dont know. Maybe some form of compilation of tweaks to play solo character. Like "Human", "Source spawn", "Godwoken" or something.
Or source points tweaks.
