This appeared to be a really cool build. I would like to take it over and do some reworking and some overhauling of this world. Again really cool. Many thanks and much respect.

Hey Go ahead. Like to see what you do with it

I started "fixing" some buildings and roads.
I have a lot of work ahead of me! 🤪
Alex Rogan 19 Apr, 2022 @ 11:25pm
Argh.. what a pity!
it looked really nice thanks for the information

Yeah. The map used mods that are no longer supported. Unfortunately the only way to really fix this is for me to start over. Which might be a little while. Sorry about the disappointment.

Hello, I have a problem with your map, I downloaded all the mods but once the map is loaded, there are a lot of blocks missing on the buildings and the roads are non-existent. Did I forget something?

ok thats cool
tacochamzy  [author] 27 Nov, 2021 @ 6:48am
Master_Chief_117 I'd like to but Its already down to 15 fps, so don't feel like there is a lot more I can do. I think I'd start a new project where the city is just as detailed but smaller, and take firekill222's suggestion and not use any DLC so more people can use the map.
Master Chief; John-117 14 Nov, 2021 @ 9:32am
are you going to continue working on this?
CoUGaR 5 Sep, 2021 @ 1:21am
thx bro!
Firekill222 16 Apr, 2021 @ 10:41am
can i get this with out the dlc?
LordBUM 12 Feb, 2021 @ 12:52pm
hmm mod use is a little heavy for my taste but over all well done on the detail

I try to name things in advance. I name stuff based on the building they're in + function. Also the city is broken into multiple grids so it's not as bad as you'd imagine to find terminals.
Léo Nidas 29 Jan, 2021 @ 3:21pm
Good work ! How do you go about isolating the terminals from one building to another?

Split the city into multiple stations. you won't run into block limitations. Don't build many interiors. Focus more on designing the landscape of the city. Third is very important. Avoid using glass as much as possible. It takes quite a bit to render effects for windows, Use black armor blocks for windows. I got rid of most of the glass in my city and went from 17 fps to 24 fps. If you want a glass clad skyscraper use armor blocks, and then coat it in these https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=578866822 Also use vanilla blocks over mod blocks for the majority of building. Armor blocks are low poly, and the game culls blocks that aren't currently visible to the player, where as some mod blocks have a high poly count and are always rendered even when not visible. Lastly look at real cities for inspiration. Try to recreate a few real world buildings, and you'll start to a sense for how to use the blocks available to create intricate forms.

Not sure how active you still are, but how do you manage to build this with this much detail? Asking because I'm wanting to do city cinematic, but break the city up into multiple worlds in order to preserve frame rate.

I'm taking a break from space engineers (started playing Empyrion), but send me a friend request if you want, and we can play sometime in the future.
tacochamzy  [author] 25 Jun, 2020 @ 6:03pm
It be really demanding on my pc fill in every building, but I was thinking I'd fill the interior of a few key buildings and the rest be backdrop.
ABlueHairedFox 25 Jun, 2020 @ 11:01am
I really need to play with ya and learn how to do this
ABlueHairedFox 25 Jun, 2020 @ 11:00am
I might add interiors. But this is the stuff I DREAM of building but never seem to be able to
