Yes, there are better looking mods in the workshop, some are even magnitudes better in visual fidelity like the Rome II HD series. But all these mods don´t completely overhaul the whole game to the degree that DeI does.
None changes every faction that is in the game to such a degree, none create completely new units from scratch that all have their basis in history, none have changed combat to the same degree as KAM2150.
I´m really sorry to the Rome II HD team to spam their comment section like this, but I just can´t stand keyboard warriors like this who have no idea about how much work such a mod is.
Since I´ve only seen them on centurions and cavalry, does this portray the fact that these men were better paid and could afford helmets that were produced by Celtic smiths of Gallia Cisalpina?
They do have a clear vision and a long-term plan, so just be patient but at the same time be aware that they don't do requests (their schedule is extremely tight as is - I'd imagine given the scope of the mod), so stop asking the same questions over and over again because most likely they've already been answered in one of the threads.
