Loving this HUD!! But is there any way to move "killfeed" to the right since it overlaps with the scoreboard?
riko 14 Jun, 2017 @ 11:49am
Oh okay, looks better than I thought the default game was o_o
Urik  [author] 13 Jun, 2017 @ 4:40pm
@Moeriko default game, no mods. Just the hud.
riko 13 Jun, 2017 @ 3:55pm
What's stock?
Urik  [author] 13 Jun, 2017 @ 8:24am

riko 13 Jun, 2017 @ 7:30am
What visual mods did you use in the 7th picture? It looks really nice ouo
Urik  [author] 20 Jul, 2016 @ 9:26am
@selw0nk By default (i.e. if none of my additional font mod is used) my huds use the default scheme. Scheme is like a config file that defines several fonts (along pre-defined with sizes) that are used in different panels/windows of the hud. Most of those default ones use that decay-styled l4d2 "stubble bold" font. But for a few smaller ones, however, Tahoma and Verdana is used. Now, I don't really remember which font my Simple HUD teampanels use, but it's either the mid-small sized default one or maybe actually one of those Tahoma/Verdana ones. The issue with long names is because game is kinda programmed to switch for smaller font if the name doesn't fit in width, apparently if it's too narrow there it can cause it to not show at all. So in my hud teammatepanels, the width for the player's name is infinite so if too long, it just gets cut off wherever the panel ends (you can actually see if name's too long it goes to the very edge and gets cut off even if it's mid-letter)
selw0nk 19 Jul, 2016 @ 6:11pm
@Urik Do you know the name of the default font in your huds? I like how your fonts doesn't cut off peoples long usersnames in the hud. I know Zeon huds and font names turn out blank on their long usernames.

What font are you using in the third and fourth screenshot?
Urik  [author] 14 Jun, 2016 @ 10:02am
@Smith well, this particular addon is responsible for scoreboard/vote hud/etc, teammatepanels are in "teampanels" mods

Whoa, nice
Urik  [author] 25 Mar, 2015 @ 12:16am
@sloppy wolf that's part of font mods because those ping images are basically a bitmap font and (unfortunately) require that mat_setvideomode resolution switch trick to load / take effect
sloppy wolf 22 Mar, 2015 @ 5:18pm
Is there any way to remove the gray background is the image where the ping appears ?
it only see the green ping , orange and red
Urik  [author] 26 Dec, 2014 @ 8:29pm
I just checked, they do for me. Make sure you put em in /addons, not /addons/workshop, and that in addons menu in l4d2 conflict window doesn't pop up
selw0nk 26 Dec, 2014 @ 7:24pm
@Urik You are right, they do not work for any reason. :(
selw0nk 26 Dec, 2014 @ 5:09pm
@Urik Thank you so much, you are the best!
Urik  [author] 26 Dec, 2014 @ 4:42pm
ok, I've uploaded it for you {LINK REMOVED}. Inside the zip archive, look for .vpk that are named "... minimal self.." The other vpk's inside are the same as here on workshop. I cannot however guarantee if these work or up to date cuz I haven't tested these in a while, don't have time to atm.
selw0nk 26 Dec, 2014 @ 4:11pm
@Urik I like the minimalistic self panel. It would be nice if you can put it up again. Ok I will check your gamebanana profile then.
Urik  [author] 26 Dec, 2014 @ 2:41pm
@selw0nk oh I didn't notice that screenshot showed that. Well, there used to be "minimalistic" self-panel version of this hud, but I removed it cuz noone really liked it and it was too complicated to manage so many versions. I might consider re-adding it, maybe not here but on gamebanana
selw0nk 26 Dec, 2014 @ 8:48am
How do I get the hud in screenshot 5 with the hp only on the right side?

FAB 29 Jan, 2014 @ 3:46pm
Awesome to hear that! Thoose HUDs you have made are outstandingly better than the default ones. Definitly a good improvement for people playing on big screens like me :p
Urik  [author] 29 Jan, 2014 @ 1:01am
@Quenelle. L4D2 cstm cmpgns grp it's because of the way l4d2 resource hierarchy is (and because of that, how both my hud and that mod are implemented). All custom crosshairs use Hudlayout.res which is a major part of many other hud mods. In this hud, it's a part of side panel addon, as well as, for example, in Zeon's mods. It [crosshair] should work if you disable [my] side panel, but then, teammate panels wouldn't position properly because my modified hudlayout contains crucial changes to support vertical (and horizontal) layout of those panels. I only see it possible to make all crosshairs compatible with all hud mods if both crosshair and hud addons follow certain implementation which should be possible, but would require updating all of those mods. I might look into that once I'll be back home next week.
FAB 28 Jan, 2014 @ 11:17pm
Doesn't work with this : https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=121339654 you think the problem is from your HUD or the crosshair and they way it was implemented? Crosshair works with all other HUD mods :(

nice
Urik  [author] 24 Jan, 2014 @ 12:12pm
@stAbb
well, I wanted progressbar to be as transparent and non obstructive as possible.
I agree it doesn't really match the rest now.
I might do something about it at a later point.
I won't be around next week so no soon updates.
stAbb 24 Jan, 2014 @ 7:17am
The changes look incredable Urik.

The only thing that still feels out of place to me is the healing teammate progress bar. Perhaps you could change the color of the outline from white to the green color you use for the other hud elements.
I'm hoping that it will add even more visibility to the progress bar, while at the same time creating an even more consistent look with the rest of the hud.

Carry on the fantastic work,
-stAbb

@stAbb
Thanks for feedback. Ducking icon was overlooked.
Wider self-panel is now an option.
stAbb 23 Jan, 2014 @ 10:34am
Thank you for the time you put into this Urik. The original cluttered and splatered hud in l4d2 annoyed me so much that it took away some of my pleasure of killing zombies.
This is how the hud should have been designed in the first place.

A bit of freedback:
The duck icon shows up a bit to low, covering up a part of the players health in 1920x1200 resolution.
Also, although I like the fact that you've made the healthbar for the player as small as possible, it feels inconsistent with the rest of the hud to me. A width around the size of the icon of the primary weapon would be Ideal,

With kind regards,
-stAbb
Urik  [author] 18 Jan, 2014 @ 2:38pm
@Doctor derp not atm. I don't think it will be included because it will cause people who don't use crosshairs a checkerboard texture.
SilentDash 18 Jan, 2014 @ 7:08am
this looks alot like arby26 hud just smaller
MeTaL.HeaD 16 Jan, 2014 @ 8:30pm
