This doesn't seem to be working for me. The force level doesn't change at all for some reason. I didn't touch the mission families at all but even after the UFO raid and assault missions the force level stayed the same.
Joe Marotta 12 Feb @ 3:04pm
Has anyone used the initial Gatecrasher mission to bump force level? What is the mission family name? I tried SabotageCC but didn't work.

I am using the Stukov pastebin. Really enjoy it!
Stukov81-T.TV 22 Mar, 2024 @ 10:42am
I little bit exaggerated, but it can lead to highly accelated advent indeed, so pick your missions carefully
IceLancer 20 Mar, 2024 @ 5:33pm
Be careful with that pastebin Stukov81-T.TV posted.
And if u on top use Success-based Dynamic Force Level , you will find your self at force level 16+ with Sectopods after just few missions at beginning of the game
Inerael 27 Jan, 2024 @ 3:58am
Hey is this mod still working pls ?
And to be sure : this mod weaken advent Force lvl when i win a mission like destroy an advent colone ?
fallenscion 25 Aug, 2023 @ 6:58pm
@Stukov - I'd be extremely interested to know what your config lists are
Stukov81-T.TV 3 May, 2023 @ 2:38pm
Sure ping me on discord anytime
Zigg Price 3 May, 2023 @ 11:04am
Copy and understood. I was not sure if Success Based Force Level still worked, so good to hear that it does. So do you have a lore reason for it going up and down the way you have it set, or is set that way for a mechanical/balance reason? It seems backwards to be for the Force Level to go up based on doing well, but I suppose I could see Advent "getting upset" and throwing more bodies at the problem.

When you say you changed the rate at which Force Level increases normally, do you use something like Delay Force Level increase mod, or did you just do it in the normal configs?

Finally, "Big config" for Force Level control, I assume that means you set it up to involve a lot more mission types? Anyway I can ping you on Discord to get notes on that? I would love to set something up like that, and I'm sure you know missions types better than I do. I consider myself pretty good in the ini edits, but I know you have managed a lot more than I have.
Stukov81-T.TV 20 Apr, 2023 @ 8:57am
Force Level Control + Success-based Dynamic Force Level, where i set it that Force Level increases with flawless and decreases with poor performances. Also a big config for [WOTC] Force Level Control. In addition went into configs and changed time to increase force level to a large number. I think it increases by 1 every 6 months or so. With Success-based Dynamic Force Level you may need to adjust force level with console after a bad mission, the reduction does not always work
Zigg Price 20 Apr, 2023 @ 4:46am
What mods do you use @stukov81-t.tv to achieve that? That sounds super fun.
Stukov81-T.TV 15 Apr, 2023 @ 4:38pm
what ever you prefer :) mine are quite different from what a normal player likes as i have set up force level progress with Success based and Mission Based instead of time
Kinsect 15 Apr, 2023 @ 4:32pm
Well that's cool to know
Say what configs do you recommend I set it to?
Stukov81-T.TV 15 Apr, 2023 @ 2:15pm
i use it for years with CI
Kinsect 15 Apr, 2023 @ 2:10pm
Can this work with Covert Infiltration?
Planewalker 31 Mar, 2023 @ 9:03am
When changing the values for the mission_names, the configs needs to be regenerated.
havokscorp 28 Feb, 2023 @ 9:56am
@silverleaf1 just experienced this problem too, did you manage to find a fix?
Fitzkrieg 12 Jan, 2023 @ 8:09pm
Anyone had any luck modifying the config to work with LWOTC?
Drakal 1 Jan, 2023 @ 4:42am
Can you make version for LWOTC or we need to just change names in config to for example "+MissionFamilyForceLevel = (MissionFamily="Sabotage_LW", ForceLevelChange=-1)" . Where we need to change just Family name like "(MissionFamily="Sabotage_LW" for example ?
silverleaf1 19 Dec, 2022 @ 10:55pm
@Gas I think I have met with an unexpected result. After assaulting several facilities the force level did go down. What is unexpected is that the force level has never increased. By waiting for new facilities I have gotten the force level down to 9.
Stukov81-T.TV 22 Jul, 2022 @ 8:22am
you can use the setforcelevel console command to set it to 1 or 0
Siatru 22 Jul, 2022 @ 12:33am
is there a way to prevent Force level from dropping below 1? Game gets wrecked when it gets into the negatives.
Aaron 29 Jun, 2022 @ 3:25am
Upon further inspection, I found the mission name in the LWOTC config to be MissionFamily="SecureUFO_LW"

So i tried using +MissionFamilyForceLevel = (MissionFamily="SecureUFO_LW", ForceLevelChange=-2)

Sadly this has not seemed to help.
Aaron 29 Jun, 2022 @ 3:08am
So I'm playing Long War of The Chosen Mod. I found enemy flight paths and secured a disabled UFO. the force level didn't change.

After checking, I found the family +MissionFamilyForceLevel = (MissionFamily="SecureUFO", ForceLevelChange=-2) and edited the config to add that. I reloaded my last turn of the mission and won, but the force level still hadn't changed.

Did I get the wrong mission? Do I have to do the whole mission over again? Does this mod work with LWOTC?
minecraft with gadget 3 Mar, 2022 @ 3:15pm
Perfect! I like playing a longer, slower campaign, so the FL being more variable is great to me.
Stukov81-T.TV 15 Feb, 2022 @ 1:51pm
Try adding the Mod Force Level Extender. That makes it so every enemy that can spawn at FL20 can spawn up to FL 99
Mirahael 15 Feb, 2022 @ 9:02am
I think there might be some issue - I was playing a campaign and I recently just got to Force Level '21' for the first time in this campaign and since i've installed this mod. For some reason, the next mission I got (and the ones after that which I had to evac and fail or skip outright) don't spawn any enemies or other units besides Resistance Contacts.

I have some suspicion it's because of this mod because I had set up various configs to increase/decrease force level, and since the levels are tiered with enemies I believe that it has simply caused the game to force level '21' in which the force level has no enemies registered to it to even spawn in the first place. Plus, this mod is the only one I have that is even capable of increasing or decreasing force level, the only other mod I have just makes the delay periods to increasing force periods longer.

I'm going to try changing the configs so it only takes away FL points, see if that works.
mumhustlar 2 Sep, 2021 @ 2:14pm
@Gas - gotya thank you. I realise I was looking at mission name and not mission family.
Stukov81-T.TV 28 Aug, 2021 @ 2:56pm
Is there a way to change the effect depending on the current force level?
Gas  [author] 27 Aug, 2021 @ 8:08pm
@mumhustlar try using GoldenPath1 instead of AdventFacilityBLACKSITE.
+MissionFamilyForceLevel = (MissionFamily="GoldenPath1", ForceLevelChange=-1)
mumhustlar 27 Aug, 2021 @ 10:21am
@Gas - I added the Blacksite story mission to the config but it didnt decrease the FL. Did I get the mission ID wrong / where can I find a list of the mission IDs? Here is what I entered:
+MissionFamilyForceLevel = (MissionFamily="AdventFacilityBLACKSITE", ForceLevelChange=-1)
KillerBanshee 5 Apr, 2021 @ 1:57pm
20 is the max force level in the game lol
BOOGEYMANE 25 Dec, 2020 @ 3:09am
i dont get this mod.. what "config" are you talking about? a file in the game folder? because i didnt find any with "forcelevels" in it
Highlander 20 Aug, 2020 @ 3:54pm
Just a PSA, after Force Level 20 (I dont know how many time, I installed this mod long after I got lv 20), it will not go up anymore if you use this mod.

Not sure if the game just stop leveling the ForceLevel or what. But this will make you get stuck on lower levels.
Gas  [author] 20 Jul, 2020 @ 11:59pm
@neIVIesis Yes.
neIVIesis 20 Jul, 2020 @ 2:13pm
@gas I assume that the config would also work to increase FL, if we define a positive value?
Gas  [author] 19 Jul, 2020 @ 1:01am
@k|Aquila Mars Glad you had that problem sorted out.
k|Aquila Mars 19 Jul, 2020 @ 12:00am
I do not recall which one it was, but after I added the other mod somebody mentioned earlier and changed the rating values to 0 for flawless excellent etc and now the values I entered into this mod's config are the only things dictating the force level drop/increase. TLDR solved it. Thanks for the awesome mod, buddy.
Gas  [author] 18 Jul, 2020 @ 12:02pm
@k|Aquila Mars What mission did you finish?
k|Aquila Mars 18 Jul, 2020 @ 3:49am
Doesn't seem to work for me, added all the missions in the discussion tab just did a mission and the mission I set was -2 didn't lower the force level was 3 before and after. Tho I flawless'd that mission so maybe it merely negated the increase from the flawless?
Gibbons 15 Jul, 2020 @ 12:51pm
Cool, i'll give it a go!
Gas  [author] 15 Jul, 2020 @ 12:38pm
@Jestimac Yes.
Jestimac 15 Jul, 2020 @ 11:52am
Hello. May I assume that this mod may be added safely during a campaign ?
Gas  [author] 15 Jul, 2020 @ 6:22am
@Gibbons The force level will still continue to increase in schedule even if the force level is decreased.
Gibbons 15 Jul, 2020 @ 3:50am
Will the force level go back up after you decrease it?
Gas  [author] 11 Jul, 2020 @ 8:49pm
@AaronOnMoon I could add the optional feature of putting a decrease limit per amount of days soon but I don't want to mess with any other aspect of the game like dark events as I don't think its in the scope of this mod.
Gas  [author] 11 Jul, 2020 @ 8:43pm
@4rrakis I believe they're both compatible. But let me know if you run into any problems when running both.
silverleaf1 11 Jul, 2020 @ 7:07am
@Gas Regarding update. Nice!!
4rrakis 11 Jul, 2020 @ 3:35am
Cool idea! If anyone is interested in other mods that influence force level progression there is also this one: '[WotC] RW Better Mission Result Based Autoadjusting Difficulty'. @Gas do you know if those two are compatible?
AaronOnMoon 11 Jul, 2020 @ 2:57am
@Gas
Just thought of another possible balancing idea, when the player decreases a force level it also speeds up the next dark event starting date (dark events take about two weeks to start)
