Im trying to make a similar mod to yours, but for Flame Cannons. So far Im having a lot of headaches and weird bugs where the flames shoot up towards the sky. Do you think you could help?

So uhhh... Unsure if this is Intentional or not but In my campaign where I was testing these units, I spotted gelt with them as well. Is he supposed to be able to recruit them or is this a bug?

The tech that allows gyrocopters to fire and move bugs this unit. When you fire while moving with this unit the fire shoots in odd directions and freezes in time for the whole battle

Absolute FIRE !! nice just tried a custom battle with basically all fire units on some poor norsca and had 3 copters ..cleansed them with fire ! mod is awesome

Some people say it's a 10% increase on vanilla stats but I'm not sure how correct that is.

They are more expensive, significantly more fragile and have less ammo and damage than irondrakes, they gain in ability and will probably replace irondrakes in end game armies

@Rumpl4 Any possibility of SFO compatibility patch of your gyrocopter mods in the future, i would love to use your "inventions" but sadly they aren't very well balanced for battles.

There is so much dwarf air power in the lore I really hope they revisit this race and give them a bit more love. They could do so much with a kind of blend of underway and geomantic web and so on.

lol thanks, i didn't even know there were other flame gyros on the workshop, I'll need to go look, I'm always tweaking and balancing my mods, i still need to change the bombs on this unit. but have a play around with the mod and give me your feedback

I just hate Doomstacks! Much prefer proper set out armies. Right, this sounds like the other flame copters on the workshop then. I'll have to give this one a good play round with!

it's a short range gyro, effective against massive blobs, I built 3 gyros for specific functions, this one helps the Dawi against large tarpits, so when coming up against 7k+ skaven or undead this thing will shine, but against a dino heavy LM army or mammoth norscan army you'll want the rotary cannon gyro, I hate "1 size fits all doomstacks"

For an SFO version I think it would be awesome if the flame shot was an ability button and It did small amounts of damage to the copter every time you used it. Its pretty much so powerful and hot that it damages the machine the more you use it. Even more cool would be a land and repair ability where you press it and the copter goes to ground. And as its on the ground it slowly repairs but obviously it could be decimated if the enemy attacked it on the ground..

After the update these are much more balance. Because of the lower range you it's a bit harder to get shots off and the reduced damage means they cant burn entire armies of black orcs before running out of ammo. They're useful gyros that actually impact the game without breaking it and are fun to use!
