Anyone else have an issue where they can't duel grip the pistol or magnum. Can't for the life of my figure out where. Tried every ArcVR combination

It should work, but it doesn't matter very much. Today I will be uploading a completely new version of these weapons, entirely remade with tweaked models, sounds, and functions. All running on the Anniversary base.

The ar2 works flawlessly but the smg just never wants to use the slide. I know it's not a conflict because it just works when it wants to.

The SMG always uses the slide, there's no alternative way to load it. Perhaps you're using the bolt release without being aware of it: The bolt release is a mechanism in guns that allows you to simply tap a button (in this case, the trigger) to reload your gun after putting in a new magazine, but this only works after you have taken out an empty magazine from that gun.

Ok so the smg is weird as fuck. Sometimes it wants to use the slide and sometimes it doesn't. Am I missing something?

It's not really a limitation with VR itself, because any regular SWEP altfire would work with these weapons (in other words, an altfire doesn't have to be coded specifically for VR for it to work)
Problem is that I myself have no clue how to code a regular SWEP altfire, and other people (mainly Arctic himself) probably just didn't want to bother

Hey Hugo, This is a great alternative to the Arcvr half life weps. I wanted to ask, If i may, why is it hard for developers to implement a secondary fire for the smg/shotgun/AR2? no VR packs seem to have the functionality? you are the only one to attempt such a feat with the shotgun, which is WIP. Is it a limitation with the current VR api? Dont mean to bother you :happy_creep:

New problem, the smg is difficult to reload. I got it working then I switched to other weapons and switched back to figure out that the pulley thing (idk what it is) is stuck in place.

Grenades are broken *again*, just forget about them for now and use j2b2's VR grenades instead:

The grenades don't work, when I pull out the pin, and press my trigger on my firing hand to throw it, the game freezes until I un-press the trigger and put away the grenades. I also get an error with ArcVR fixed.

i unpacked the gma and fixed the ar2 muzzle flash by removing "HunterMuzzleFlash" and adding "AirboatMuzzleFlash"

hey hugo the only thing i have yet to see (i think) is the fact that the ar2 or the pulse rifle machine gun have no muzzle flash at all and also no ar2 impact effects, also the current muzzle flashes on most firearms for example the smg are very low quality and seem a very slow in comparison to the rate of fire. im comparing the smg here to the smg from CATSE because his smg has the proper muzzle flash, proper tracers and such. also the crossbow bolt doesnt have the same properties as the original as you cant pin enemies against the wall with it. The RPG can destroy almost anything one tap like a gunship or a strider, seems the damage scale is way high on that. lastly, if possible, almost like how you got the SMG to be two-handed, could you replicate CATSE's hl2 pistol by adding the ability to grip to the pistol and two-hand it? i think thats all i found while playing through hl2 campaign, thanks man !

After recent discoveries regarding the issue that people have with the shotgun freezing the game, I've added ArcVR fifth wave and the INS2 pack to the required items because I seem to have missed that I used some elements of INS2 in the weapons of this addon.

but i seriously want to thank you so much for fixing these cause i can finally play the entire half life 2 campaign including the episodes in vr with fully imersive weapons mostly without engine bugs! experience so smooth its almost like the HLVR mod people are still waiting for today. SO OFFICIAL! SO MOIST

@miheaven look at the required addons section of this mod. i was missing some and i was having the same problem so just make sure you have those downloaded

Sounds like an incompatability issue with either an earlier version of this addon, (which means you'll need to manually update it somehow) or you still have the original ArcVR base installed, which is a definite no-go. You *need* to have the ArcVR FIX installed, which is linked in the required items list. (And then make sure to uninstall the original ArcVR base)
