If you get stuck pulling out the battery, do it with right hand holding it and step back with left hand.

Fun and challenging map!. Scraped through in hard mode just now, must have missed the SMG along the way and struggled through final battle on barely any ammo. Only managed my last few kills by stealing clips off combine to kill them with. Balls to the wall awesome :)

It's a lot of fun, though it'll be hard to not die a few times even in normal. Doesn't make it bad, just be ready for a challenge. The only issues I've run across were a battery stuck in a combine cabinet in the room where you have a heavy weapons combine in an elevated platform (after you get the combine SMG) that I had to hold and "step back" (back on right-stick with Quest 2 at least) as it wouldn't get out otherwise, and a graphical glitch in the grass in the exit.

Excellent mod. Makes you feel like you're walking through the halls of Nova Prospect. Steady, well-balanced combat and just the right amount of scavenging make for a very enjoyable play through. I'll be replaying this one for sure at some point in the future

Yeah, should be able to use this in S2FM, altho if you want some better visuals for Source 2 Nova Prospekt I'd suggest using my newer mod, Monomyth.

Gave this a run on Merciless and I can safely say that I am going to play it many more times this way! The variation in challenges you face are all perfectly suited for the mod, especially as you are given the laser sight in the beginning which is very key to your success. After playing Alyx for like 400 hours, this is the level of challenge I am looking for every time. In fact, I wanted two of the areas to be harder. There's also plenty of ammo if you fight tactically; for example don't always use burst fire as it's generally best when you are less than 3-4 meters away from your target. Echoing the hard difficulty experience of others: not enough ammo for hard mode.
Otherwise, excellent level design (bit too dark near the start though, blind flailing / blinking needed) and super tense combat encounters.

Great map, but the part where the endless combine starts spawning is pure bullshit, on hard you run out of ammo and it's impossible to progress further.

Played this on Hard difficulty and died 3 times total. Plenty of ammo to get by especially with the SMG. Loved the 5-resin bundles. Ending was underwhelming but I liked the cover points you provided. Also, it seemed I could skip the final battle by opening the door and just escaping.

Excellent map design and intense combat. I had to play the second-to-last big battle, (the room with the forcefields and Combine pouring in from everywhere,) four or five times before I finally scraped through by the skin of my teeth. Ended up physically crouched on the floor, switching weapons and reloading like a madman, it was intense

Oh damn. On one hand I'm a little cross because the added difficulty of beating it without the upgrade room actually made me throw my shoulder out, but on the other hand I have to give you some genuine props for inadvertently making a map that taught me to quickly and efficiently grab ammo from live enemies and load it into my gun ASAP to survive.

Workaround for energy cell stuck in cabinet: empty both hands, but both into the cabinet, grasp with one and let the cell get pulled into wrist storage on the other. I could not get the cell to release any other way. Also an auto save point before the last area would have been nice!

@cubicvirtuoso a trick for stuck items is to grab them and turn with joystick, the item will usually stay in your hand and phase through any obstruction.

Visually STUNNING, but the enemy density was wayyyy too high for the spaces they were in. Getting dog piled by combine grunts left a very sour taste in my mouth. The combat spaces need some work. I played on hard and ran really low on ammo. If I’m expected to scavenge during combat I need some more breathing room.

One bug I ran into is the power cell at the end of the level was stuck in the container. I had to smack it a bunch with my hands to get it out.

Anyone who is able to create a playable map is very talented in my book. The amount of hours that must go in to something like this. So I am giving this map a full five star rating - it looks great and some new puzzles to boot! If I had a complaint it would be there should be more ammo - even on easy I found it a stretch. I've never been great at these games but I love playing them so it would have added to the enjoyment rather than dying over and over again. Also there were too many dark areas. what is the purpose of staring in to a black dark corridor? Even when I found a door that had a lock on it, the lock was obscured by darkness so I just guessed and fired my pistol at the appropriate place to destroy the lock. Otherwise great work!

I am by no means an expert at Half-Life Alyx, but I don't get all of the complaints about difficulty and ammo. If you had trouble finding the SMG/Upgrade room, I don't understand how you beat the main campaign, it's so obvious.

A tip: the lower level combine almost always drop a magazine for your handgun, and make sure you scavenge just like you do in the campaign. There isn't nearly as much hidden stuff but I just can't understand why else people would have issues with running out of ammo.

This map was amazing. I wish it had a more climactic and purposeful ending. The last fight was fun but felt like it was leading to something but just ended with black screen fade out.

One of the best maps on the workshop, good job.

Bravo! One of the more immersive maps I've played. My only 2 complaint's are the repeating music inside Nova Prospekt in the first half of the map, and the final Combine battle outside in the quadrangle. I found myself just hiding in the corridor I exited from and waiting for the combine to show their heads, then pick them off one by one. Probably not how the segment is best played out. Other than those, fantastic work! The scripted stealth part was also such a clever part, it's stuff like this that the main campaign should've had more of!

It was one of the hardest combine combat I've played so far. I died 3 times and had to figure out how to beat it with such low ammo. The best part was the scripted scene where I had to sneak in and steal combines' ammo/grenades. It felt not only so great but like playing some other stealth game. After got through the big combat in the middle, the rest of the map felt somewhat loose. I expected a grand finale but that was it.

the combat is what is holding this map down, if you cant fix the combat then just take it out, also i am certain there is no real way to beat this without cheating, hardly any ammo between encounters, the combat layouts suck so much it boils down to a shooting gallery and the ai does nothing but push you the combat is a D- so close to an F , but the rest of the map is a B+, if the combat is not fixed i doubt ill ever touch this map again

Was all the ammo replaced with resin? I couldn't for the life of me beat this level, even on the lowest difficulty because there were just no bullets or shells to be found anywhere.
