@Momo found a way to make port legacy skins to retail, change your game beta to Legacy then open it DIR.vpk and put the player models and materials in a folder then change your game beta back to none and put the folder with your legacy models in the custom folder.

How it works - create empty folder in "custom" directory. Put ur files in custom folder and mod must be working.

I know the structure of the library, I've been messing with HL2 leaked alpha version's files before HL2 was even released, and modded HL1 a lot before that, but for Codename CURE the files are just not there, and the vpk files are just empty for me (these files only have a folder named "root" inside hem, and this folder does not open for me, for some reason - that's why I'm asking in the first place)

@Vic, I mean guides about Source engine. If you are interested in the sounds of weapons, then an example: Fiveseven pistol
directory: Local disk C > SteamLibrary > Steamapps > Common > Codename CURE > cure > sound > weapons > fiveseven > etc.

Okay, thanks, but I'm mostly interested in weapon shot sounds, and there are none of them in the game directory (I guess they are all inside some of the vpk files)

@Vic, u can find a lot of guides on YouTube. But in order to understand what sounds need to be changed - use GCFScape for VPK libraries.

Thank you. But, actually, I don't really like neither old sounds, nor the new ones. How exactly do you change them? I think I would rather like to do a different mod for myself.

@Vic changing sounds of weapons, music, main menu. Also added old maps, which aren't by default in the current version of game. You can find all this on YouTube yourself (2015-2016).
