Just a note, this seems to introduce a visual bug in the traditions tree in 3.2 possibly in older versions too. Doesn't effect gameplay though.

So I've just arrived here from the apparently dead official version, and this one seems to have been dying for some time as well. So if anyone re-revives the official mod, please post a link! :-D

Is it just me, or is it not possible to see all the effects of certain abilities like Tiny or Titanic? I tried UI scaling and higher resolution but it looks like there is only 13 lines to work with and 7 of them are taken up by the trait name, description and flavor quote...

I can see that you used my trait descriptions for the RPG traits renewal! Looks like I'm going to be doing some more quote rewrites as my writing skills have improved a lot over the years...

I think revising Subterranean to Burrowers and setting them to work in a clean way where once population with the trait hit a threshold on a world you can take a decision to expend resources to add a district slot or something. Subterranean was conceived back in the days where tiles still existed, and hasn't been properly rethought since. I definitely think having a trait that supports tall play on a few taller worlds in that fashion still makes sense from a game play perspective.

I like people like @Dragon of Desire that are just a weeeee bit thick and don't understand that these traits were never intended for player use. They're for building boss monster AI empires.

Yes it is! It's supposed to be! It's a flavorful way to make the AI competitive!

If you stack these traits onto a player empire you only have yourself to blame for the outcome. Maybe read the description in the future. :)

fun mod so far, sadly the "obsessed with armor" trait wont work for me. is it bugged or is it blocked by some of my other mods?

So, unfortunately, after doing a playthrough with these traits, I can 100% say that the traits added are absolutely gamebreaking. +900% assembly speed? +400% resources? It's utterly broken. Things need some SERIOUS tweaks before this is useable in any balanced way. Accept my friend invite when ya can; I'd be willing to help you make changes and do balance sweeps on the traits so they fit better.

Also, it should be done soon, as I discovered that Build Underground Districts is a default decision; ANYONE can use it immediately at the start of the game.

I think it'd be best to remove entirely. It'd be less work for you and if people want it, as you said, they can get Gwen's Alternate Playstyles. If you'd like some assistance, I can help you with balance and bug finding.

Reworking descriptions is something high on the list too ofc.

Regarding subterranean: I thought the same thing actually, but was left a little conflicted regarding whether to remove it entirely, as I know a similar thing is added as an origin within Gwen's Additional Playstyles (GAPs)

Yeah I'm working to balance all those things, as well as others. That's why I've split the mod into the Classic version and this one.

Also, the Grey Goo trait is FAR too powerful. I highly recommend having it given ONLY by defeating the Grey Tempest, and even then, halving the current bonuses that it currently gives. As it is right now, the trait is simply a god-trait and makes you unstoppable.

Also, wanted to share that the defensive trait seems to be bugged; it's not reducing the cost of defense stations or modifying the stats of Starbases at all. This COULD be because I have Expanded Starbases, however.

YEah, the descriptions need to be reworked on a lot of the traits. I chose "Tiny" thinking I'd just get the bonuses and negatives of what it says, but instead I get into the game and find out that it gives massive penalties to things that are NEVER mentioned in the description.

There's a conflict I'm having with this and either NSC2 or Downscaled ships. No ship models load, at all. At empire creation the there is just black boxes when selecting ship types.

I feel like some traits are missing there is only one trait for intelligance, one motivated triat, and only one sedantary and nomadic traits.
