I hope this helps! If you have any questions I'm always happy to help.
- try increasing the budget for trains / public transport
- try increasing the size of your city / industry (if you want cargo trains)
- try increasing the tourism value of your city
In general, trains can sometimes take a while to start coming into your city and doing the above things can encourage train traffic. On this topic, do you see trains crossing from one edge of the map to the other, or are trains completely absent?
Also, some people have reported to have fixed train issues by remaking some rail junctions, so that might be worth looking into, i.e. to make sure the railways you have are intact :)
A lot of mods have broken recently, and old maps tend to have old requirements due to the frequent deprecation of old mods due to discontinued maintenance of the mods. I encourage to always make sure the mods you're running are up to date.
The Unlimited Trees: Revisited mod is broken these days and you should use the Temporary Tree Anarchy Fix instead.
If you've double checked all of your mods and made sure they're all up to date, then unfortunately I don't have any other clues as to why the map would be broken.
In the first image it's apparent that at least the elevated station and the metro station assets are failing to load. This could be due to some incompatibility between those assets and the train tracks used in this map.
Apologies for a delayed response, I've been absent over the holidays. I hope you've resolved the issue already, but if not, I hope my two cents help :)

Have you tried waiting it out for an extended period of time? Furthermore, I think the reason why it takes a while is that the tree count on this map is relatively high (545K is quite a bit) - have you tried running other maps with similarly high tree counts with the Tree Anarchy mod?
In any case, I got the map working on my end (I subscribed to the items just like any other subscriber would do, as I no longer have the original files on my PC from which I could otherwise load up the map) with the Tree Anarchy mod. I suggest you try to wait it out when loading the map to see if the Tree Manager phase just takes a long ass time. Please report back in any case, as I'm curious to hear if this is in fact the case. I hope this sheds some light into the situation
Ok, I finally got myself some time to work on this. First up I checked back to see if the map works as intended with the Unlimited Trees mod (I changed the mod requirement to the newer version of the Unlimited Trees mod), and it works fine and dandy.
The interesting part is when switching over to the Tree Anarchy mod we discussed about, I too first thought the loading got stuck on the Simulation: Tree Manager phase. Then I left the game running on the background while I came back to desktop to figure stuff out. To my surprise, when I re-opened the game, the map had loaded and was fully playable. Apparently with the Tree Anarchy mod the Simulation: Tree Manager takes quite a while to load up (like 2 minutes or so for me?).
Random Tree Rotation was definitely used when this map was made. I'm unsure how the previous use of that mod could cause an incompatibility with the Tree Anarchy mod however, as the map functions without the Random Tree Rotation mod in itself. Anything's possible though.
Tree Anarchy is a complete overhaul, which includes Random Tree Rotation, Tree Movement Control, Lock Forestry and more. It could be that one of those mods was used in the map creation, and its making a issue when using Tree Anarchy, which is incomptabile with all of them, including the original Unlimited Trees Mod.
Have you tested the map with that mod? I've been off the game for a while now and I'm not up to date with the latest mods, hence the requirements can be outdated. If the map works with the new Tree Anarchy mod, I'll gladly either add it to the description as an optional replacement mod for the Unlimited Trees mod or just update the requirements list itself. Thanks for the heads up! Looking forward to your reply :)
I checked again, yes the problem persists with every dependencies Enabled.
And yes, I do own mass transit (in fact every DLC except Sunset harbor and Disasters)
If by starting map you mean the starting tile, then yes it's probably a feature of the map as the starting tile is down in the valley which isn't really windy (just how the game's mechanics work). See if the ridges will give you a better power output! (If not, then something is broken). You'll have to buy at least one tile to reach them though. I hope this helps
Sounds rather peculiar. As always, I still recommend double (or triple, if that's the case) that all the required mods are actually set active in the mod manager (not just downloaded). Sounds like you've done this already though. There's a chance one of the dependencies has gone out of date and is broken, but I'd say it's unlikely.
This map initially used the Mass Transit version of the national roads, which were later changed to the NExt2 variant to avoid a DLC requirement. Hence I'll ask whether or not you own Mass Transit? The issues you're having suggests something critical is missing when loading the map (not just an asset missing, as it would simply be missing and not breaking the game like you described) and it could be a DLC. The Null Ref error basically means a dependency is missing which is typically an asset that is missing, but it shouldn't break the game though. Hopefully we'll find what's causing the issue here. I'm looking forward to your response :)
I double checked (and redownlaoded) all the required dependencies, and tried turnign off all other mods except the ones needed, still the same result.
TLDR: Yeah, some of the "rivers" (i.e. dry riverbeds) are intentionally just dry patches to create a natural look. I hope I answered your question
That's a great question. I'd suppose as it serves the same purpose as the original mod, it should work with the new unlimited tree mod as well. Can't say for sure though. If you try it out, please share here whether it works with the new mod or not.
I do not, unfortunately, have any time - nor intention, even if I had the time - to make another duplicate version of this map.
If you need to get rid of the NExt2 requirement, for example due to the collision with Harmony, I'd encourage you to load the map up in the map editor with NExt2 turned on, then
• find the NExt2 roads (which are, as you said, only used in the intersection)
• replace them (with the road upgrade tool) with MT versions of the same road
• save the map to your own custom filename
This is a fairly quick and easy process which you can do by yourself and when doing it for your own use, you (unlike if I were to do it) avoid all the hassle with uploading it.
Glad to hear you like the map!
