So many great new wonder mods out there, makes using this too limiting... Please come back to this one Choijanggyu! Alternatively, anyone else out there in the community have the know-how and motivation to bring this up to date with popular new mod wonders?

@choijanggyu Hello, I don't know if you are aware: there have been several additional mods of wonders added to the workshop lately. Can we hope to see them in this mod? There is in particular Bastrod's Stockholm City Hall, which would allow Sweden to have a wonder with your mod activated.

agreed great mod

First - this mod is fantastic, it really helps with immersion! Wonders are effectively high-powered Unique Buildings: yes, it therefore affects play balance but it's so worth it because it keeps the art style across empires consistent and stops wonder-spamming civs from going mental.

Second - it (generally) comes at the cost of not having any competition between civs for wonders. To me this is a slight negative, although I still always have this mod on. I'd therefore like to second @sircharleythecat's suggestion below: broaden the range of civs which each Wonder can be built by, much like you're already doing, but broader.

That way in games where you have random opponents, you could never be sure there wasn't another civ in the game that could build your key wonder so you'd still have that sense of urgency. This would work for the early to mid game at least. In the late game in vanilla you're already either so far ahead you can claim whichever wonders you like (or at least you've met everyone and can strategise accordingly) so there's no real competition there anyway.

If you do go with this idea, a potential rework of the description (or pinned discussion) could be an alphabetical list of wonders, with the Civs that can build it listed by each.

Last - keep up the good work! This would be one of my top recommended mods, so I hope you're still keeping an eye on new mod wonders as they come up on the Workshop - for instance Stockholm City Hall (possibly OP, but oh well you can always deselect Sweden) and the Parthenon (Just uploaded - Hooray!).

PS - Even if you're over it and are done with this mod, please accept my sincere gratitude for adding a valuable element of customisation to many epic games. Many thanks.

Hi, I've noticed that this mod doesn't work unless 'Gathering Storm' is enabled. In other words, if I were to play either the standard game or R&F, this mod is incompatible w/ them. I tried playing those w/ this mod enabled vs this mod disabled, and that was the difference

A suggestion: a wider range for the wonders.

Stonehenge also available for Gaul and Scotland. (build by Celts)

Pyramids also for Nubia

Lighthouse and Library also for Macedon

Statue of Liberty and Oxford uni also for USA

etc.

So civilizations sharing history, culture, geography and colonies would have access to a pool of wonders they could roughly have claims to.

Any chance a version could be made where certain wonders are allowed by other civs ? so for example, Mediterranean Civs can build Mediterranean civ wonders & northern Europeans can build northern European wonders, South east Asian civs can builds south east Asian wonders and so can eastern Asian Civs build east Asian wonders etc. Wonders to be assigned by the culture as opposed to the civilisation, would make games more interesting but keeping in line with reality ? Modern wonders like the Amundsen Scott and futuristic wonders can be globally built ? Thank you

Like the mordern one's I want to make them buildable for all countries, I've already tried to modifie the file but it does not seem to word. @Epicsvenne Sadly, I'm not the one who created that mode. But I think the problem is probably due to the mode code entered in the save file. So i guess if you change the title and mode code to the value of the old mode in the modinfo file will solve the problem.

Are you the creator of the old "Civilizaiton Specific Wonder" mod too? Because if you are, its removal has rendered many of my saves unloadable. So if there's a downloadable link off it somewhere, just so I can play those saves again, I would greatly appreciate it.

Think about which company built the burj khalifa.
I also gave the Statue of Liberty to both the United States and France, considering a country with the technology to build a wonder.

I keep dreaming about a day that Great People spawns only to a regionally pool of Civs. Like Einstein only could appear to USA or Germany, Marina Raskova only to Russia, USSR...

A suggestion:
Add KCucumber's "Wonder Ayakashi Saigyou" which is a cherry blossom fantasy to civilization "TOUHOU MOD Saigyouji - Hakugokurou" by the same author. And when this civilization does not exist give this wonder to Japan.

One question that maybe someone can help with; Is there any way (or is there currently a mod) that allows specific wonders for different cultural and geopgraphical spheres of influence?

Thats an odd phrasing, so basically is there a way to make say, Huey Teocalli, Macchu Pichu and Chichen Itza available to Aztecs, Incas and Mayans and only them? You could do western Europe/ eastern Europe/ southern Europe/ African /middle eastern etc..

I'd love a mod like that but I wonder if it's even possible

I saw that there was another “Tibet” (Gedemo) civilization. It would be nice to also add him the Potala Palace at the same time if possible.
