tried to give factions different units to make rosters better one could be strong with axe infantry but not so much in say cavalry etc

i only know the basics of unit modding i am not good like radious units as exmaple but more than welcome to make better version of my mod using my units with different armours textures if you know how to do that

Yea they dont blend very good with "Judex Rex" they remain very good with a cool amount of variation

Have fun I don't think I shall he touching this mod again as I don't play vanilla game I tend to play dark ages mod or medieval kingdoms mod and ancient empires mod as well as others

But you can use the units for you're own pack if you like and if you have more experience making textures etc for armours then go ahead

Just don't forget to extract the files for shield patterns otherwise patterns don't work on unit mesh

If you want to create similar mod then feel free to use the units and stuff in this mod

I don't do many mods for vanilla more like submods for various overhauls dark ages mod unit pack I done has custom units but garrisons should not be too strong till cities are upgraded to highest level

Not touched this mod for long time I don't think I did anything with vanilla units at all

If you have rusted pfm have a look and see not on my pc at moment if any cities have garrison buildings like Roman garrison quarters then garrisons will be very strong especially with my custom units

I notice that when I turn this mod off the garrisons return to normal size, is there something in the files that triples the amount of vanilla garrison units?

My garrisons only add just a few units like two infantry and one archer and cavalry I have another mod for dark ages mod that's similar but garrisons maybe not too overpowered

No they aren't that's probably because of vanilla garrisons from the cities and the garrison buildings that is made

I could not do much about it feel free to use this mod to create more balanced if you like I sort of stopped modding Attila vanilla game and doing submods for other overhauls etc

I put it at the top of the load order but the garrisons are ridiculously huge, is it supposed to be like that? like a tier 1 settlement has a 20 unit garrison

I have a look in abit or if you got rusted pfm check the unit variants and mesh definition folder check the names maybe unit names not spelt properly

Hello, I love this mod. However, it seems that the saxon warriors unit are invisible and are just a bunch of shadows. It only seems to be them i have tested out other factions and have only found that these units arent showing up. Is anyone else having this problem?

Enjoy using them they are light to medium infantry can be vulnerable to cavalry charges

Slavic fanatics are berserkers since Slavs did have some Nordic blood or mixed with Nordic tribes

Got ya on the sharing part my friend as for balancing, im not sure. I typically did not have campaigns run long enough to notice anything out of the ordinary when it came to the factions unlocked vs vanilla factions with the mods but i do recall that it was more or less price of the units that i would compare at the time more than the stats. I would be happy to test them out and such with the intended mod to let you know my thoughts. Oh there was one thing i actually remembered though and that being the slavic fanatics. Just to make sure i did not miss something, they are not the ones with berserking right?

They get Germanic beserkers though which can be trained by many Germanic factions but eastern Romans get them as they hired many barbarian troops it's my first unit pack please share it it's completed unit pack if stats need balancing than please say

I did watch history programmes about this time period and both Romans hired barbarians mercenary troops throughout that time frame

Eastern Romans shouldn't have Frankish troops they should have goths western Romans should have the Frank's since western Romans hired Frank's to fight for them Slavs I gave nomadic tribes troops since they possibly hired them as mercenaries

I did not mean to come off as rude if I did. I was meaning that eastern rome has access to frankish and gothic auxiliary and that the slavs got somethings that see a bit odd to see in their rosters. I could and would be willing to play it out some more and talk to you about it

Romans both hired auxiliary units I tried to balance it out all but complete I focus on dark ages mod unit pack more people play that than vanilla game anyways

This was my first unit pack so may not be the best but rosters are fleshed out

Which cultures you referring to I gave nomadic like units to eastern factions as they had dealings with the Huns or had contact with similar nomadic tribes

i also had issues where some units meshes were not working correctly and this was only noticed after i made unit cards

im only basic modder i do not know how to make decent unit cards unfortunately i play different mods now feel free to use unit pack and make your own ones or improve unit cards.

No problem i can have a look at it when pc is back fix any errors there maybe but I tend to use dark ages mod unit pack more if I play original game time frame I play fall of the eagles mod

ill probably get tired of it eventually and switch back to ancient empires or something since the Radious mod was a bit of a sour experience and currently im done with just playing vanilla attila

I have and im seeing some of it though atm im taking a break from the mod itself so i can enjoy forgotten empires a bit more. Oddly enough having your mod on top causes the mod to cut off the other options for factions. Might be the number of mods and things i have but so far im enjoying my experience even with the weirdness
