Hi there literofcola & Ed Shneebly.
This is a great route that reminds me so much of my travels to the NE of Scotland up to Thurso (didn't get to Wick). I was there in deep snow!
I have just published my first scenario in a collection of 10.
:steamhappy:Great Job. Well done.
Belle 17 apr, 2023 @ 8:29
Hiya, I've been doing an update to your route, to bring it up to Scratch, with Golden Age Assets and VP Track, etc... Would it be possible if we could discuss about me releasing this? There should be some screenshots on my profile of the work so far. Cheers :))

What a delight. Driving a Macintosh 812 0-6-0 was a real pleasure even in the Winter weather, it felt so real. Very well done.
Warwick Rail 19 aug, 2021 @ 22:21
Here is a list of all the workshop scenarios for the route.

Great route, took a little time to find a few of the assets but really enjoyed th3 drive. Selgin is probably how I imagined the old abandoned Elgin Station when I travel on Scotrail through Elgin heading south.
jobiff16v 25 jan, 2021 @ 8:22

1ak0nia 6 jul, 2018 @ 17:09
Is falmouth branch essential?
Revarnes 4 jun, 2018 @ 9:02
I'll just answer that for you right away:
Isle of Wight
Falmouth Branch
Woodhead Route
Western lines of Scotland (Aka Port road)
Weardale and Teesdale Network
Trainsim 4 jun, 2018 @ 9:01

Pdguru 10 sep, 2017 @ 10:57
Great route. Thank you!
harryharry32 20 aug, 2017 @ 13:10

RolandBP 19 jun, 2017 @ 5:08
medion694. You certainly retired as a winner. I had better join the scenario writers, for this finalized version and get at least one uploaded.
Deadly-Dorito 8 jun, 2017 @ 10:53
An incredible route, I may make some scenarios when i get the time :P
FusedCircuit 27 okt, 2016 @ 22:50
I wan it but don't have woodhead
Revarnes 30 maj, 2016 @ 13:09
So sad to hear that you might not be making more Routes.. But oh boy, i can't wait trying the finalised route. Thanks for making it! Appreciate your hard dedicated work!
AllyourKitty 29 maj, 2016 @ 17:27
Sorry to hear you might be finished creating routes. I hope you might keep building but if you don't many thanks for the 4(?) lovely steam era routes that you have made for the community.

Ed Shneebly  [skapare] 29 maj, 2016 @ 3:20
The route has now been made final following the addition of a couple more signals (thanks Roland BP). Thanks everyone who provided supportive comments over the last couple years for this and my orther routes. This is likely to be my last route on the current generation rail sim, so I hope I've went out on a high.
Happy rail-simming!
RolandBP 26 maj, 2016 @ 5:56
I just took a look up at Portbyvie and note there is stil no Home signal. Will you be adding one or a Stop Booard to designate Station Limits?
RolandBP 26 maj, 2016 @ 5:14
I have just run a scenario from Harnie Junction to The furthest West Station and apart from the Starting Signal from Platform 1 at Harnie Junction all the track and signals worked perfectly.
Felix.AVMP 26 maj, 2016 @ 3:17
Excellent news!
Ed Shneebly  [skapare] 23 maj, 2016 @ 1:58
***MAJOR UPDATE*** I have been working away at this for a while now in order to complete the route to the length that I wanted. This update essentially doubles the length of the mainline section to the North along a coastline and terminates at another large junction station.

This will be the last update prior to finalising the route, which I aim to do in the very near future, so please let me know if there are any issues with this latest update.
Yeah_iGuess 6 mar, 2016 @ 11:14
love this route just wanted to ask how did you make the canopy at portbyvie?
RolandBP 4 feb, 2016 @ 1:23
I will once again add my comment to the growing group of scenario makers who really want to see this route finalised. Please finalise it as it is a classic like your Crabenmore Branch.
Gazer 14 jan, 2016 @ 10:16
i think this route is the BEST !!
Revarnes 22 nov, 2015 @ 16:22
Well.. then i would suggest finishing this route.. would be about time.. :l
Felix.AVMP 22 nov, 2015 @ 12:38
Well, as much as I like this route, it shouldn't be finalized yet, as it is missing signals at one end (and yes, it does matter).
Revarnes 12 nov, 2015 @ 13:28
LITEROFCOLA!! Make this Final!! The route is so well made, and i wanna publish Scenarios on it! :steamfacepalm:
Revarnes 4 nov, 2015 @ 15:16
Is this route going to be made final yet? I have a Scenario ready to get published, and it'd be a shame if i just wasted a few hours of work into a scenario which i can't publish..
WobblyTooth 17 aug, 2015 @ 1:51
Has this route been made final? If so is it possible that I could make scenarios for Workshop for it?
Prinz 26 jul, 2015 @ 13:09
They* not the Comes* not come sorry
Prinz 26 jul, 2015 @ 13:08
@revernes the come with Train Simulator as standard
Revarnes 1 jul, 2015 @ 6:39
I don't get how i'm going to find those Classic European Assets, Classic American Assets, Foliage Pack, Modellers Asset Pack, please i really wanna play this route, gladly with those assets & packs!
Scouser888 11 jun, 2015 @ 8:30
Wow! In a word, this route is superb. It has everything you would want as to scenery, buildings and railway infrastructure, and then some. One minor complaint. At various over/underbridges, the creator has inserted patches of bright green grass. The color looks very unnatural, and should be darkened, if the opportunity presents itself. I ran three quick drive scenarios, with BR Black 5 44826 and five coaches. Hairnie to Portbyvie, 8.98 miles, Heith Junction to Portbyvie, 20.17 miles, and Portbyvie to Heith Junction, 20.15 miles. There are other quick drive scenarios available. I was unable to download the scenarios by Zo0ok, because I don't know how. Highly recommend, well done!
Felix.AVMP 31 jan, 2015 @ 13:01
Subscribed this route shortly after it was published here... and I have completely forgotten about that. :-)
Now, thanks to those nice scenarios made by zo0ok I rediscovered this gem (along with your other routes)... beautifull piece of work, really!

(however - is it only my copy, or is there really entry signal at Portbyvie missing and I am not sure about the placement of starter signals there as well...?!? )
pjt1974 23 jan, 2015 @ 8:54
I finally got round to subscribing!!!! Why did it take me so long????? Excellent work. Many thanks for sharing
zo0ok 8 jan, 2015 @ 8:40
I created a scenario for this very fine branch line. Since I can not publish it on Workshop I made it available for download [zo0ok.com]. I hope I did not break any policies and I hope literofcola is all fine with this.
zo0ok 7 jan, 2015 @ 10:06
All your routes look amazing, I wish I could find scenarios on workshop! I marked them all as Favorites, in case that helps them being Final, which perhaps would allow scenarios?
Magnus 4 dec, 2014 @ 0:04
I have TS 2015 upgrade, have subscribed this route, but cannot see it in my list of routes. I don't need any addons, so I dont understand why I cannot see it in my list of routes, can anyone help me please ?
andrew.scully3 9 nov, 2014 @ 8:37
A lovely route this, plenty of opportunities for shunting and short passengers. Many thnaks for the hard work already put in.

Thanks for this great gift. The route is very beautiful and detailed.
Please continue your work. Thank you very much again.

  Greetings.
RolandBP 11 jul, 2014 @ 18:41
How far away are you from having this route Finalized? I have made several scenarios for it but they cannot be put to the Workshop until you have completed this very nice route. Roland.
Tim van der Leeuw 8 jul, 2014 @ 2:01
This is a really fantastic route, thanks!
